In summary

River Glen Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff and beautiful setting, with some visitors noting the course is generally well-maintained. However, many guests express concerns about the course's condition and the slow pace of play, often citing long rounds due to closely spaced tee times. Additionally, some feel the pricing does not reflect the quality of the course, and there are occasional reports of customer service issues.

Deeply dissatisfied with River Glen. Got out for 9 holes with a couple friends at 6:30pm. The staff being friendly was about the only positive takeaway. It was $47 per person with a cart. The fairways looked like a severely abused driving range tee box at the end of a summer. Typical un-repaired ball marks on the greens(which was expected at a public course). Absolutely ridiculous, for how awful shape the course was in, and what we were charged for sunset golf. VERY disappointing. It’s very evident the public courses in Fishers are all going way down the drain. Go spend your money elsewhere li…

Pretty decent conditions. However almost a 5 hour round. Removing the one star because I found out that the tee times are squeezed 5 mins apart. Other than that, great course, great facilities, awesome staff.

3 hours for 9 holes is not an exaggeration. I’m no stranger to slow Sunday rounds but that’s just unacceptable. Tee times were booked 8 minutes apart. The condition is bad. Plain and simple, $64 for a walking rate is outrageous. The staff is really nice, and was able to give me a rain check.

If you dont mind taking cat naps at every hole, this is your place. 8 minute tee times, you will get backed up. I've never been here and not experienced a wait. Otherwise - Beautiful course, very well maintained.

I waited 3 days before posting this review in order to reflect and be fair. Course conditions were marginal at best. Burned out areas on the fairways and tee boxes were mostly garbage. For a +$50 weekday expense, it wasn't worth it. Many other courses available that are cheaper and in better condition. The worst part was it taking 5 hours to complete this round. Staff wouldn't send out a ranger to move the slow players along. Unacceptable. Spend your money on some other golf course.

In its current condition, it is certainly not worth what they charge on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. It's probably not worth the normal Monday through Thursday rate either. A lot of fairways don't have any grass and you are simply hitting off dirt. Tee boxes are questionable at best. Needless to say, I won't be back. It's not like they will lower the prices this year based on the quality, and they will continue to raise their prices in future years. You will continue to be charged premium rates for a sub-par course!!! Too many better options in the area.

The Staff act as if they don't want to be there, scenery looks amazing but when you get on the course it really has not been taken care. 5 hour play, so make time to be there for awhile. It's a shame! Hopefully the owners and staff can put more love into it so it can be an icon it once was talked about

Course is in good shape and well maintained. Problem for us was the pro shop allowed a fivesome out in front of us and caveated that there was another lady who “just gonna hit a few balls” and another lady who was only riding. Well, we played behind a sevensome all day. Probably won’t come back since the pro shop is trying to turn River Glen into Sahm. Pictured is the group in front of us.

I had a really bad experience here the other day. I will preface by saying that I have played River Glen around 5 times over the last 5 years. From a course quality perspective, I think it is overpriced. The course maintenance is not as high as other nearby competitor courses, and yet, they charge the same rates. I won't name names, but if you search other courses in a 10min radius... you will find many options with better value. My recent bad experience; I took my employees out for a round of golf on 9/4/25. I booked the tee time through GolfNow because River Glen had no direct online option…

Very nice course. It needs more water and/or a beer cart on the course but I don't think that's a reason to ding a star. The tee boxes are firm and clean. Fairways and rough are well manicured. Overall a great value IMO

Love the course, it is beautiful and well maintained. Unfortunately, it is unplayable on the weekends. 8min spacing between groups and allowing singles/doubles to go out creates a log jam right away. 5.5HR-6HR round every time, if they can figure this out it’s a five star course all day.
