In summary

Brookshire Golf Club is often praised for its beautiful and challenging layout, well-maintained course conditions, and impressive clubhouse facilities. Many appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the course's urban setting, though some find the narrow fairways and deep rough demanding. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding the slow pace of play and the course's tight layout, which can feel crowded and potentially hazardous.

Tee boxes are trash, greens are beat to hell, could use some of the trees trimmed. We paid 58 for a senior rate. Love the layout, but the city of carmel needs to do better. We will not be back.

Great course if you enjoy narrow tree lined fairways and deeeeep rough. Bring plenty balls and a ball retriever. Amazing new state of the art clubhouse...easily the nicest in Indiana!

Well maintained for a dry Fall. Greens always give me fits, but enjoy the layout.

Great new clubhouse! Greens were a C as they didn’t hold well and had some bad spots throughout. Trees were not well maintained for good shots. Tee boxes need improved as well.

Played here four times. This is a really good course in Carmel Indiana. With a fair price around 50 dollars during the week to ride 18 with a cart. Greens are smooth and has interesting challenges throughout the course with an overall nice layout! Rough is nice and course is just overall well maintained. Great sand traps as well! Upset about them not having their Cheesburgers at the moment. It’s a huge reason I get excited to come here. Hopefully this review changes that! Will definitely be back but I need that cheeseburger!

I’ve played 250+ rounds of golf and probably 50-60 different golf courses in the last 3 years. This is hands down the worst golf course I’ve ever played. This place wasn’t worth anywhere close to the money they charge. The course was in pretty poor condition, the pace of play was diabolically slow (5+ hours), and it is the worst layout of any course imaginable. You are always within 5-15 yards of getting hit by a golf ball. A gimmicky, poorly maintained sham.

They still maintain it quite well, but place has gone downhill. Driving range is fairly nice despite being a shoddy coin-operated machine. They have sand and water buckets for your divots and clubs. Greens are aerated and you can expect a stereotypically douchey starter to be condescending to you before you start. Carmel snob without the money! It’s a municipal. Go elsewhere, this place isn’t what it used to be.

Painfully slow pace of play. I was told walking was cheaper— sure wasn’t, I was charged the full rate. The layout of the course is so tight you are in an actual danger 14/18 holes. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

No matter what time or day I play here, from Monday afternoon all the way to Saturday mid day...it's always PAINFULLY BUSY. They overbook the tee times and it is always backed up. They also quit accepting cash which is odd. Who doesn't accept money? I don't care if it's 2025, cash is still cash. The layout is odd but it's the slow play that is making this course unplayable.
