In summary

Reid Park Memorial Golf Course is appreciated for its 36-hole layout, offering both challenging and forgiving options, and is often praised for its friendly and welcoming staff. Many visitors find the course to be in excellent condition with well-maintained greens and fairways, contributing to a positive golfing experience. However, some recent feedback points to concerns about deteriorating conditions, particularly regarding the greens and bunkers, which some feel have been neglected under new management.

Reid Memorial Park is hands-down one of the best golf experiences in the region. The fact that they have 36 holes is a huge bonus, offering both the challenging North Course and the more forgiving South Course. I recently played the North Course, and its rolling terrain, elevation changes, and tree-lined fairways were a fantastic challenge that really tested my game. The course was in superb condition, with well-manicured greens that were a pleasure to putt on. What really sets Reid apart, though, is the incredible value and the fantastic staff. Everyone, from the pro shop to the grounds crew,…

A lovely course with nice elevation changes, fairways and greens were in nice condition....and fairly green considering it is 10/15/22. It was a great day with great people enjoying a great game on a great course😉!! (I'm just a rider & hobbyist photographer)

Course is in horrible condition. Don’t waste your money. Both 18 hole courses have been let go with little to no maintenance. Every single green is diseased and dying. Fairways are burnt out in a lot of places. All bunkers are a mixture of gravel, large rocks, and a little sand. Not a single level tee box to be found on all 36 holes. What used to be a nice course is now a completely different animal.

I’ve been going to Reid golf course for about 4 years. I like the fact that they have 36 holes. The South course is one of my favorites to play on. My friends like to meet every week at Reid. The staff is great! Shout out to Curt, Pat and Marty!

Regular at this course and it truly has so much potential however year after year it seems to deteriorate. Owners really need to invest in general TLC of the fairways with having long grass, a bunch of clover and weeds, rough looking greens and the cart paths are absolutely horrendous and falling apart.

Love Reid Park Golf Course. Been playing there over 35 years. BUT...it is under new management. They now have a bag drop. You drive your car on the cart path that is closest to the putting green. However, they said that people are complaining that they can't take the cart to their car, so they made exceptions today. Also whoever sat the gold tees (senior men) put them exactly on the womens tee on every hole. Yes, I asked them why and he they said that isn't right. Whoever did it must believe in men playing in women's sports. BIG NOOOO!!!

Great course for the price of admission. The sand traps could use some more sand, but everything else was quite nice!

The layout of the courses is fantastic and have always enjoyed playing here in the past, but they have really let the conditions deteriorate. All of the greens are filled with disease and burnout making them nearly impossible to putt on. The rest of the course is mowed with mowers that are cutting terribly uneven, with some fairways being nearly a second cut length. Need to see some improvement for me to return.

Been 20 years since moving from vandalia but north course was awesome despite the occasional storm damage. Super friendly staff with yummy hotdogs. Great value for 18 holes... planning on return to south course

Played five courses this fall and this was by far the best conditions I have seen. Played 9 holes. Fairways green, grass still standing and thick off fairways. Greens are level and course overall is very well-maintained. Few bare spots. One of the best golf courses around.
