In summary

National Golf Links is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, challenging yet enjoyable layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for golfers of all skill levels. The course is noted for its well-maintained greens and fairways, though some areas like bunkers and tee boxes could benefit from improvements. While the value is generally considered great, a few visitors have mentioned issues with pace of play and occasional noise distractions.

I've played this course three times since my first round here a month ago, and it’s easily in my top three (semi-local) courses. It’s about a 45-minute drive from home, but absolutely worth the trip. Getting to play a course this well-maintained on a Saturday for just $51 feels like a steal these days. The layout is excellent, offering a great mix of challenges throughout. You won’t be disappointed. If I had to nitpick, the tee boxes are a bit worn—but that’s pretty typical for this time of year.

This place is a real sleeper. Especially considering the dry stretch we’ve had. Values great, the greens are quick but true, and there’s a challenge for all skill levels. This place is some bunker improvements and decent range balls away from being elite. I almost hope they don’t improve to keep the masses away. Right between Dayton and Columbus and this place is a gem. And seems like they do it on a shoestring budget. Whoever is running this place needs a raise.

Great course ... Only issue is cart paths seem scattered and incomplete. Greens are wonderful, fairways very good. (It's a little late in the season so there's some dry spots). Glad I played it!

Great golf course for a great price. The course is pretty open, but there are some places you can get into trouble with long grass and water. Course has been in great condition every time I’ve played. The range is not the best, but it does the job for a decent warmup before the round.

The course was in excellent compared to most in the area right now. Most are so dry. Fairways and greens were very nice. Greens run very true and are fairly quick. The course has done an excellent job making it play very nice for all. It has quite a few challenging holes that will certainly test your skill level. Great driving range and practice putting green. Clubhouse was clean had a nice little grill to eat at. We will be back. Thank you.

Very nice layout and in surprisingly good shape compared with many other courses this time of year. Greens were large and offered lots of fun reads. Multiple tee box choices suitable for all range of golfers. Easy drive from Columbus and I will definitely be back.

Very nice course. Excellent fairways and greens. Some of the course has highway noise. Course very plush and in great shape. Greens rolling true. Would recommend.

Friendly staff, one of the nicest public courses in the area with reasonable greens fees. I love playing here. For the price, you can't beat it. The course was in great shape today. They are doing renovations I think, but the contractors (I'm guessing they were contractors) were respectful and waited until we teed off to run the backhoe. I will continue to have this in my rotation of courses.

Today we had a foursome in front of us and they all had their own cart. I don't care but they were any slower they would have stopped! The course overall was in great shape. No issues with the fairways. Not sure what's going on with a lot of courses in central ohio including this course. The bunkers are unplayable! Now the greens were on the quick side and putted true. Great value for the money

Great value but the course still needs some attention. Traps are all “under repair”, former traps were not rehabilitated and greens were in good shape but slow. Ruff was patchy with lots of bare spots. Fairways were well maintained.

At times we could not tell the fairway from the rough. We were a 4some in carts and got yelled at and told to pick up the pace. A walking 2some in front of us were NEVER more than 1 hole ahead and we even waited for them on a couple tee shots on the back. And the total round was under 4 hours!!! Not to mention, expensive for the terrible condition of the course.
