In summary

Rawiga Golf & Swim Club is appreciated for its challenging layout and reasonable pricing, with some visitors enjoying the open fairways and friendly staff. However, many reviewers express significant concerns about the course's condition, citing issues with the tee boxes, fairways, and greens, which detract from the overall experience. There are also mentions of maintenance struggles and dissatisfaction with the value for the price charged.

This place used to be a nice course. I was just in the area and golfed here today and these are the conditions... The tee boxes and fairways are rough! Not sure how you enforce a collar shirt policy when your course looks like this. Hate to see this nice course look like this!

I have played this course on and off for many years. This is by far the worst it has been. BUT, I played there a week or 2 ago and again today and they are putting the work. It is already showing. They had some problems out there with staff and other things but its coming back! They are closing down the bad tee boxes and working on the greens. I have high hopes over the next year that it comes back because its such a great layout!

If I could give course negative stars I would. The course was in the worst shape I've ever seen a course. Fairways and tee boxes were practically just dirt, greens looked like they hadn't been watered in decades and played as such. There were crater cracks in the greens that made putting with any accuracy practically impossible. They could not pay me money to play this course again.. do not waste your time or money here. They clearly have given up.

7/12/25 Rawiga used to be a gem around the Medina area, but it’s fallen hard. What was once a scenic country course now shows clear signs of neglect. The problems started right at the first tee. The ground was so hard I had to hammer in my tee. Most of the tee boxes were burnt out and bare…honestly, my dog wouldn’t even crap on them. The greens weren’t much better. Many were brown and covered in what looked like fungus rot. The entire course felt rock solid underfoot. It wouldn’t surprise me if they sold the land to Western Reserve and are just letting it die off like they don’t care anymore.…

The course is just not in good condition. The layout was nice and you can tell the course could be fun and challenging but it’s just in bad shape. I do not recommend anyone go here in 2025 because is no way for them to even bring the course into good shape this season. Price- 2/5 not worth the $50 spent Tee boxes- 1/5 not level and missing a lot of grass Fairways- 2/5 some were nice but overall too many dead spots that were extremely hard. It hurt to hit from those spots Rough- 3/5 mostly cut well and maintained Bunkers- 1/5 left to rot and die Greens- 0/5 small green that are in horrible con…

The most neglected golf course I have ever stepped foot on. Tee boxes are just dirt, fairways in terrible condition missing grass all over the place. The worst part was the greens, incredibly diseased and essentially putting through a crater field. Was charged $52 and clearly none of that money is going into upkeep on the course. Couldn’t pay me to waste my time playing this course ever again.

Avoid this course at all cost. Hands down the worst course I have stepped foot on-it makes Loyal Oak in Norton look like Augusta. As others have recently mentioned-and I wish I would have read prior to coming out-tee boxes are basically dirt/sand, greens are scalped and bare and fairways are less than desirable. It’s very sad to see as I have played this course in the past and it used to be a fun cheap challenge, but now the only challenge is finding a semblance of what used to be a golf course.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to play golf in the middle of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Rawiga Golf Course has you covered. From the moment I stepped onto the tee box (or what I assumed used to be one), I knew I was in for a truly memorable experience—like watching your favorite childhood toy slowly disintegrate in front of you. The fairways? Imagine a mix between abandoned farmland and the surface of the moon. Greens? More like browns. Or yellows. Or whatever color disappointment is. Balls didn’t roll so much as hop, skip, and randomly change direction like they were dodging invis…

Numerous tee boxes closed due to bad conditions, fairways in bad conditions, greens were the worst I’ve EVER played on. Absolutely terrible they are charging full price and no heads up before your round. I said something to pro shop worker and all he said was “noted”. Friends and I will never be coming back, would not recommend for $15 dollars let alone $30. Go anywhere else.

Wow this place has gone downhill. Baked out tee boxes, shredded fairways, peppered greens, and overpriced concessions. The attendant said they were down a mower so the rough was bad, what an understatement. Looked like it hadn’t been touched in weeks! I guess they figure they can charge premium fees if they hang up a “no t-shirts” sign. Just trying to squeeze out the last few dollars before the cemetery takes over.
