In summary

Quail Hollow Golf Club is praised for its stunning setting in the Boise foothills, offering a well-maintained and challenging course with significant elevation changes and strategic layouts that appeal to experienced golfers. The staff is generally described as friendly and helpful, and the amenities, including the clubhouse and practice areas, are well-regarded. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow play, occasional lapses in customer service, and the course's difficulty for beginners.

Really beautiful course with great, technical holes. Out of all the courses I've played on the valley, i never had an issues with slow play. But, the young dude helping the Marshall told us we would have to skip the next 3 holes to catch up. Problem was, we were being held up by a group of walkers on the very next hole. No harm, no foul. I told him we wouldn't be skipping ahead since we paid to pay 18. Then the marshal came over and apologized. All in all, I'll be back to play for sure. Course is worth it and I hit my highest record drive on the 18th.

I live around here, and I quite enjoy golfing. Quail Hollow is quite a decent course. The holes are very beautiful, and it being so close to home is just another plus. The course is very well maintained, and the clubhouse food is quite terrific! The one problem I do have with this course, is that it's not very good for beginners. I brought my 14 year old grandson here, and he's been golfing for some time, however he did struggle on this course, and we did not have enough time to play through holes. But, for me and my fellow golfers, this course is terrific!

Quail Hollow was my first golf adventure in Boise, Idaho. What a gem. I have to start with the surrounding environment - OMG!! Quail Hollow sits at the foot hills within the Stewart Gulch Park. Which means there are endless views of mountains which leaves you in awe. The course is an adventure in its own right. The first hole plays like any other parkland course, then there's the second hole - a steep climb to a 180 yd par 3 - where you're hitting across a deep valley onto a green that seems to sit on top of a mountain. A missed shot will require you to pitch straight up. Of course, when you…

Fantastic course! Greens were very respective but extremely fast. Lots of elevation changes and some blind tee shots which was difficult for first time playing but didn’t diminish the experience at all. Look forward to next trip to Boise this course is a must play! Tee shot on 18th is worth the trip!

Spectacular! One of my favorite courses I've ever played. Quail Hollow is beautiful and so much fun to play. So many holes ask you to decide between driver or iron on this fun layout with some great doglegs, water hazards to carry, or just a narrowing fairway. It is not like so many others where you pull driver on almost every par 4 and 5, though you mostly can if you are hitting the driver accurately enough. Quail Hollow has some good elevation changes so I wouldn't recommend walking this one. My favorite holes include #'s 1 ,2, 3, 5, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17, and 18. A must play if you are in the…

Stunning, beautiful course tucked into the foothills. One of the most challenging in the Boise area, not just because of the elevation changes that come with being in the hills (unlike most other courses around that are mostly flat), but because of how many holes bend around water and how many large bunkers there are. Not only are you constantly trying to gauge distance as you're climbing or dropping elevation on most holes, you have to be very strategic about which corners to try to cut and when to lay up. Overall a great course though, the clubhouse is nice and the service is good. It is a l…

beautiful layout, greens are not as fast as they said. Falcon Crest has better ones. This golf course is for socializing not for the ones that really play. too many groups that don't know golf courtesy rules and take too much time. it will be best if the course had a Marshall. Also the guy that is at the cashier has a very lazy attitude. Non info given when you tell him it's your first time there. Oh! and there is no beverage cart.

It's an amazing chorus especially considering it's a Muni. Very challenging. From narrow fairways and oddly-shaped greens, to challenging pin positions and unique tea boxes, this place has it all. The only real complaint I had was a lack of ball cleaning stations around the course. We only found them on hole one and hole 10. I'm used to seeing them on par 3s, not at the beginning of the front and back nine. The driving range and chipping green were well-maintained. I would highly recommend anybody from out of town who's used to a more challenging course go play this gem hidden in the Foothil…

Always love playing at Quail. A very tough course unless you are accurate with all clubs. If you miss the fairway or the greens, you will usually get punished.

Came and golfed today with my friends, walked in one of the most un inviting club houses of all time. I would ask a question and the people would look at me and my friend and laughed in our faces, they also were very rude the whole time and asked us to let someone play through after I hit a 343 yard drive and had to wait for the group infront! This course is beautiful but horrible service be careful!!!!

Played a Friday AM. Awesome pace of play. Very difficult course - have your driver/3W/etc locked in! Manage expectations of score and enjoy the sights and sounds. The pro shop is very friendly and does a fun way of announcing groups off the first tee. Excellent birds on the course, including some California Quail!
