In summary

Palm View Hills Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic setting with wildlife, and friendly staff. However, many visitors express concerns about the poor condition of the greens and slow pace of play, with some also mentioning issues with course management and pricing discrepancies. While the fairways are generally well-maintained, the overall experience is sometimes marred by overcrowding and inadequate communication regarding course conditions.

First and foremost your ranger Mike is one of the biggest a holes I’ve ever met in golf. He berated my wife and I and said we weren’t allowed to warm up even though we showed up 45 minutes before our tee time and just bought $15 range balls and had to tee off immediately. He told us if we refused we wouldn’t get a refund and had to leave the course?!?!? Second off this is the worst maintained course in manatee county. Pathetic. Moccasin wallow is cheaper better maintained and right around the corner.

Challenging course. Fairly priced. Manatee County residents should sign up for their promotion. The promotion gets you limitless range balls whenever you want and discounted green fees. The promotion costs around $500 per year or $50 per month. And gives you access to two courses. Plus you get to see the gators. Win win.

Played thursday the 5th. Paid $80.00. The greens are unplayable. Almost every green had bare spots that were overfilled with dirt of some sort. I dont mean a single spot on each green. It was in some cases 30% or more covered. Chip onto the green and the ball stopped dead. Had to move the ball around to clear a path to the cup. This is no way to play especially at $80.00. They should be ashamed of themselves to charge this much for an unplayable course.

Worst golf experience I’ve ever had. We saw online that it was $50, but when we showed up in person they charged $70, even though we had proof of the $50 price. The course was extremely overcrowded and poorly managed. We spent 3 hours waiting, and after 4.5 hours we were only on hole 14. We had a group of 5 and paid for two tee times (paid separately), but we decided to play a scramble on to move faster on hole 12 since we were waiting all day. Despite that, the ranger came over and screamed at us, then told us to go to the clubhouse for a refund. When we got to the pro shop, the employee tol…

The course was in good condition. The fairways were perfect, some of the best around, however the greens were in pretty bad shape with bare spots in just about every one of them. The drainage was pretty good, and they put the pins wherever there was grass.

Not cheap. Was 171 with tax for two of us. The course is not in great shape, especially the greens. They are like concrete and have large patches where the grass has died and they're attempting to spot treat it. The bunkers are ok, sand is in good shape. Kind of a wide open layout, so pretty easy to keep the ball in play most of the time. Greens are not super easy and undulating, so just be aware. Carts are gas and are in pretty good shape. There are much better courses with less expensive rates in within a 20 mile radius IMO. Did not see chubbs. Likely will not repeat.

50° at noon? Is this really Florida? Greens are fast, but in pretty bad shape. Many large bare sections on almost every one. They put some green sand stuff on the bare spots so the brown won't show. I like the layout. Plenty of stands of hurricane damaged dead trees scattered around the course. Minimal food options, but that's typical. Not a country club. Was surprised that the course was pretty full on such a cold day, but it was MLK day.

Enjoyed the course very much. Play moved along nicely and staff was friendly. Course was in pretty good shape. Fairways were nice and staff was friendly. We saw lots of native birds and alligators. Disappointed that we didn’t see Chubbs!!

For 70 bucks you'd expect a Marshall/Ranger on the course! In front of us was a six-some that were all inebriated and often laying in the tee box to hold everyone up and then give us the Bird. I felt bad for a single in our foresome from Chicago that had to call the Clubhouse for a Marshall/Ranger only to leave a voicemail with no response. After taking 5 hours to get to the 17th hole we just decided to pass the drunks and leave to go home. Fairways were in good shape but the greens are horrible.

I have been coming here for years (last time in 2018). I love the layout of the course. Lots of challenging holes with water hazards, bunkers, and sloping greens. Lots of wildlife too (birds and alligators). Average practice range (nothing exciting about it or to complain about...it gets the job done). Brought my friend here for his first time playing at a regulation course, not an executive course). I only lost two golf balls due to a slice and a hook into wooded areas. The course was a decent shape (some crab grass on several greens and some water logged areas, but overall, it was in good sh…

5:45 hours to play a round. Completely mismanaged joke of a golf course. One water cooler per nine. Bunch of little kid programs on all the practice areas. Most greens have sand areas. If you like budget golf and have the time, this is your course.

I am a US Army Veteran who went yesterday morning. I paid $90 for my son and I. We hit some balls on the range and was called back to work. I went to the pro shop and they refused to return my greens fees. They are Rude. Refused to give us phone number to the head pro, one guy the second manager tried to start a fight with one my my foursomes players. All because he wanted the main pros phone number. I as a Veteran of the US Army find this establishment and its people. Rude, Unprofessional and a bunch of Thieves!!
