In summary

River Isles Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained and challenging 9-hole executive course, with pristine greens and a layout that is beginner-friendly yet offers enough challenges for more experienced players. The course is noted for being senior-friendly and affordable, with a scenic setting near the Braden River. However, some visitors have reported feeling unwelcome by the local members, which has affected their overall experience.

Great little 9 hole course. Very beginner friendly and in good condition. Super walkable, but has nice carts if you'd prefer. Bill is a great guy!

Stumbled across this gem looking for a quick 9. The course is small but fairly challenging. The greens are absolutely pristine. They are challenging as they are very small and all tabletop. A great place to work on your short game or have a quick break. Will be back if I pass by here again. The course is ran by volunteer residents who were all extremely friendly, and they take pride in the course and condition it stays in.

Very challenging 9 hole Executive Course. 3 par 4's for men, par 30; 5 par 4's for women, par 32. All greens are elevated and slopey. Don't be long! 🤬 Great greens. Very nice fairways. Forgiving rough so long as to stay outta the giant Live Oak tree roots. 🙏

I’ve never experienced such an unfriendly and unwelcoming atmosphere at a golf course as others have reviewed in the past. From the moment I arrived, the members and residents made it clear they weren’t interested in having outsiders around. It’s a real shame because the course itself is mediocre at best—fairways are poorly maintained, greens are slow, and there are way better options in the area for the same price. Honestly, I won’t be coming back. If you’re not a local or a member, do yourself a favor and skip this place. As others have stated, members are super unfriendly

I challenge anyone to find a better quality executive course at this price. The course is unavailabe during member league play. Every course has this rule!. Don't bring your little kids out expecting to be on a playground, and for the love of God don't let then drive carts if they don't have a license.

I've played hundreds of rounds of golf, this place is the definition of unwelcoming. It’s a member-run course, and the members make sure you feel like an outsider the moment you step on the property. Looking at you like "what are you doing here", Very rude, trust me they will make sure you know what you CAN'T do on their course even when not asking. They acting like it’s Mar-a-Lago. Newsflash: it’s not. The greens are in terrible shape, but instead of accountability, they blame the weather or brush it off with “it’s only $20.” Save yourself the aggravation—there are plenty of other courses tha…

Course is not in food condition. Would not recommend River Run down the road is much better.

Nice course. Had a guy trying to charge us $45 for the round. If I want to pay $45 for a round then I will never play here.

This is a nice flat easy to walk par 3 course. Everyone from staff to golfers that I have had contact with has been very nice. I enjoy this course.

I have recorded +20 rounds at the River Isles 9 hole executive course (primarily because a relative lives within the community). I can say without a doubt, no other course has treated me more poorly or more of a second class citizen than this one. The locals play multiple balls, jump holes as it suits them forcing you to wait mid-round, all while hitting balls into you without apology (who hits into you on a par 3, Seriously!?!). My most recent experience prompted me to write this review. The course closed without warning, moments before I was to tee off because the male members banded togeth…
