What People Say

In summary

Greens of Manatee receives positive feedback for its friendly staff, affordable pricing, and welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular choice for beginners and those looking to practice their skills. The course is appreciated for its laid-back environment and the quality of food and beverages offered at the cafe. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the course's maintenance, citing issues with the greens and fairways, and there are occasional concerns about the professionalism of the range staff and inconsistent operating hours.

Dawn in the pro shop/cafe was very sweet and accommodating, the driving range was the perfect place to hit a couple buckets of balls with my buddies and tighten up my swing, and then we had a great lunch and drinks while cooling off in the cafe. Very affordable and just down home comfort at this course. It has been years since we been here and we will be back again soon.

Had a great time with my buddy who has never played golf before. The range was nice to give him pointers and some instruction. The course was not packed so we were able to play at our much slower pace without holding anyone up who was coming behind us. Had some hot dogs between the front and back nines. Paty was very friendly and fun to talk to. The course was in good shape. I had no complaints about it. Overall good time today 😀 UPDATE 01/26/24: Went with my buddy again. He is getting better. It was a beautiful day to play. Had bacon cheeseburgers for lunch today, courtesy of Chef Paty. We…

The women running food service are great. However, guys on range are a pain. Been hitting on range for 3 years. Todsy, while hitting range balls, guy came up to me park cart 2 feet from my bag and said course closed. At 12:30? Angry tone. Proceeded to call me a dick. Won't be back. No professionalism. If you go to range. Good luck. Girls in Cafe are great. Bye...

Hard to believe that last tee time is 2:30pm on weekend, after showing up at 2:45pm. Returned on Monday at 2:20pm and told last tee time is 2pm. What a joke.

I've hit balls here on occasion because you can hit from the grass and not mats. Decided to play here for $47 with a cart and boy was that a mistake. To start there is no cart path or anything to guide you through the course. No fairways as everything is pretty much just rough. Greens were atrocious. Most had sand spots and putting was practically non-existent. Pro Shop employees are nice but for the price don't waste your money here as you'll be disappointed for sure.

Just came out to hit a bucket and get a little practice time in. was there about 40 min and a guy came out to pick up golf balls with his machine. Stopped and told me I needed to bag up the balls I had left and come back tomorrow he had to get the range cleaned up and at the pace I was going he would be there all night. It was 2:40 in the afternoon. Are you kidding me. He gave me 20 min to finish. He was nice enough to offer me a bag to take my balls home in.

The food, drink, and service is still excellent now for years, and years.

I’ve been here 3 times during business hours and they’ve only been open once. If they’re open, it’s a decent place to swing most of the clubs except the driver, but it does no good if you go during their open hours and no one is working. I’m guessing this place will be closed in the near future as they obvious could care less about making money.

I've been going there for 20 years. It is what it is, I use it as a practice course. Yes, it's a little rough, but for the price it works for me. Usually friendly service and good prices on food items.

Great golf course and driving range for anyone in the area of Desoto Square, Mall. I use the driving range quite often. I play the course occasionally; it’s a good course for any beginning golfer. It definitely will test your golf skills. Good people work and play here. Steve

Prices are great for breakfast, but for lunch not so good. Charged extra for each condiment added. Watch out that could be costly. Pickle extra, lettuce extra, everything extra. 2 burgers 1 order of fries 2 soft drinks at a cost of $21.00
