Sara Bay Country Club was a fantastic venue for our Rotary Club holiday party. The space was beautiful and well laid out for a group gathering, creating a festive yet elegant atmosphere that felt both welcoming and special. The service was truly incredible—attentive, professional, and seamless from start to finish. We also really enjoyed the cocktails and the food, which were well prepared and thoughtfully presented. Sara Bay Country Club delivered a wonderful experience and is an excellent choice for events, celebrations, and group gatherings.

Our organization has enjoyed our awards dinner here for several years....and that's because of outstanding service and excellently prepared delicious food.

Sara Bay Country Club is a true hidden gem in Sarasota. The course is beautifully maintained with fast greens and a classic Donald Ross layout that keeps things challenging but fair. The staff is welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere feels relaxed yet refined. Whether you're out for a casual round or playing in a tournament, it’s always a great experience. Easily one of my favorite places to play in the area.

The golf course is in wonderful shape. The food is great and the service delightful.

Couldn’t get answers from membership. Golf shop seems unfriendly and doesn’t care either way. I get they have members and are busy from $60,000 initial fee. Plus monthly fees. Junior memberships are offered but do not appear to be welcomed in tone and rules. There are other options out there.

Excellent golf club and great food.

I thought the layout of the course was excellent. Ross put together a very enjoyable set of holes that wound its way around a creek that came into play on a number of holes. Fairways were in very good shape and the small greens rolled very good… probably about a 11. Overall I would rate this course as one of the best layed out 18 holes in the Sarasota area. Donald Ross did another fine job!

Very well maintained, beautiful course. Greens are very fast and are tough reads. Main problems are no GPS in carts (for what you are paying carts should definitely have GPS), Fairways are very close to each other, no directions so hard to know where the next hole is and without GPS or at least a hole layout on the scorecard there are quite a few blind shots and unseen hazards.

Beautiful Country Club with tons of Sarasota History! The staff here is always friendly and outgoing. I always leave with a smile when I stop by here!

An old school club with amazing staff and a Donald Ross golf course that is tremendous. The green complexes are challenging, the are fast and undulating and did I mention amazing. It's a course worth trying to get on to play. Tip from a local while we were there, don't be afraid to play your tee shot on 18 down the 10th fairway. Gives a great angle and takes trouble on left out of play. Wonderful spot hope to get invited back.

Strongly recommended. We had our Daughters Wedding Reception at Sara Bay in April. The clubhouse is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The Staff were friendly, professional, and courteous. The Chef prepared an absolutely delicious buffet, customized to our requests. Last but not least, Anita Bosworth, Manager and Event Planner, is a real gem. Where do I start? Anita is the kind, knowledgeable, and always helpful person who made our special day go absolutely perfect. We couldn't have done it without her.
