In summary

Pagosa Springs Golf Club receives praise for its beautiful mountain setting and friendly staff, with some visitors enjoying the challenging layout and amenities like GPS-equipped carts. However, there are significant concerns about the course's maintenance, with reports of poorly marked paths, damaged greens, and geese issues. Additionally, some find the pricing high for the condition of the course and express dissatisfaction with certain policies and customer service experiences.

The courses in my area are the same price, so I really can't complain about this course's price. Also, we didn't eat anything while there. We just played golf and had a couple drinks on the patio after. With that being said, I thought it was a great and have no complaints about the condition of the course. I saw that someone wasn't happy with the cart paths. It's a mountain course. The manager came out while we were on the patio and mentioned that they had some irrigation issues earlier in the year and it did cause some of the greens to dry up. They were fine when we played. No complaints. I'd…

This course for a first timner can be challenging because the course is so poorly marked. The cart path is not clearly marked. Holes are not marked. Ball washers are empty of water. The cart stopped working twice saying we were not on the right path. (We were). We had to push the cart until it recognized it's where it's supposed to be. The greens are fair. The scenery is beautiful. I would summarize this as a poorly managed course.

I am a Pagosa Springs resident and have played our course every year for the past 25. It is currently an embarrassment. The Meadows nine has geese problems so if you want to putt on three holes through the feces...it also has one hole where the green has two large holes dug by some underground varmints. The mountain course has several greens that are about 10-20% dead. Same with putting green. All the tee boxes are rough as well. We have had a drought, but the course should have water available. For my money I will drive an hour or more away and play at a cheaper rate and courses that are well…

I booked a tee time here on my way through town and was a little nervous about the lower ratings. This place is nothing less than a 5 star golf course. The holes are long and fairways skinny which made it fun and challenging. The carts have gps and are in great shape. The staff is amazing and hospitable and to top it off they had the best barbecue I've had north of Texas. A truly remarkable experience - can't wait to come back.

As of 7/3/2025 the course is in great shape. There are some wet spots in the fairways and some tee boxes are beat up, but overall the course is in good condition. Fairways are soft and the greens are pretty smooth. The layout is awesome. Some cool elevated tee shots and challenging holes. The price is too high for the inconsistency in the course but it’s worth paying while on vacation for the great views. The no cancellation policy is brutal. If someone in your booking gets sick, you can’t get a refund even 2 weeks out.

Only went here to eat, but yummmmy! This is a hidden gem if you are visiting. The brisket is delicious and the street corn as well. They make their own dipping sauces that pair so well. Great service. Quiet and away from town. Fabulous choice.

IN TERRIBLE SHAPE, BUT AT LEAST ITS EXPENSIVE I played here a couple of weeks ago, and the course was in terrible shape. Many of the greens are burnt out, but don't worry, the rough around most of the tee boxes get plenty of water and look good. You wouldn't guess this based on the astronomical prices - $92 for 18 holes, $73 for 9 holes... And these are the cheaper prices you get when booking online. If you call or book in person, you pay even more. Driving range is also in terrible shape, it looks like you will only be able to hit off of mats again for the second straight year. They will s…

The people were friendly and respectful. They were waiting and the top of the hill with our golf carts for our tee time. I feel they were a little overpriced compared to other courses. the Greens and fairways were not in the best shape, but it could be due to the season. It's a beautiful course and the experience and staff made up for that.

Staff was great, friendly. Course was the worst I’ve ever seen it. Been playing it every summer for over 20 years and was looking forward to playing it again. Big disappointment! Greens are terrible, course overall is not in good shape. Way too expensive for the product they are offering.

No rooms. Just a BBQ eatery and a great golf course.

Greens are half dead as well as the fairways and driving range closed whenever they feel like it I guess... went out to hit balls twice this week on vacation in mid afternoon only to find out it was closed. Sounds like the owner either doesn't care or doesn't have the $$ to take care of it properly and not motivated to serve the local golfers.. Whatever the reason, it's not worth $100 per round.

They have a goose problem. Played the Meadows yesterday and goose poop was everywhere. The greens were covered with it and they have a fungus or something on them. You would think for the amount they charge to play they would do a better job dealing with the geese.
