In summary

Mosholu Golf Club & Driving Range is praised for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and excellent practice facilities, making it a hidden gem in the Bronx. The course is ideal for beginners and offers a pleasant, accessible layout with a reasonable price point. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and inadequate signage, which can detract from the overall experience.

Mosholu is such a hidden 💎, especially when the greens start rolling in the summer. For only 20$ for 9 this place is an absolute steal for the price. The greens on the short par 3s are pretty beaten up with pitch marks (nobody fixes them apparently) but the other greens (especially the mini biarritz 9th) are awesome. The course design is super walkable and has a handful of fun greens and fairways, a great beginner spot but for more experienced players you could find it overly easy and annoyingly forgiving. The new second hole, driving range, and clubhouse are going to be awesome and the pra…

Maybe I'm being overly critical but I found the course to be unpleasant. The people working were lovely but I signed up to play early on a Friday afternoon. I think 9 holes would have taken 3.75 hours had I not left early. The golfers I saw were very inexperienced, very slow, no concept of pace of play and there wasn't anyone on the course doing anything about it to move people along. I waited 15 minutes at the third hole for two people to finish who were less than 60 yards from the pin. One was giving the other a "lesson" meanwhile there were 4 groups waiting at the tee box. I'm no great golf…

I went golfing for the first time, and let’s just say… my swing needs some serious work. But what I lacked in skill, I made up for in laughs and thankfully, my wife was right there with me for the ride (literally). We spent the day at Mosholu Golf Course, a great spot for beginners, and even though I wasn’t exactly Tiger Woods out there, I had a blast. My wife didn’t play, but she drove me around in the golf cart like a pro. Honestly, that was half the fun we joked around the whole time, and she laughed every time I sent the ball flying in the wrong direction… or barely moved it at all. Some…

This is well maintained 9 hole course - closes enough to the city. The ranger is very friendly and professional. Perfect for the golfers who are looking for fun and family/friend outing. The price is reasonable and you can find everything you want from playing golf!

This course have had major changes done over the past years. Good place to work on your iron game and woods. They now have areas to work on bunker shots. Course in good shape. This is where I will start going back again. Everyone is friendly, Carlos very kool guy.

My favorite course in the city. The best staff and a fun small course. Open till late in the season. Very affordable and well maintained. They have carts if you want but it's an easy course to walk if you prefer. I try come out as much as possible.

Great golf course! The 9 holes are terrific for beginners and fun for everyone! More casual than most courses, come to Mosholu and have a guaranteed great time.

One of my favorite courses. Been playing here regularly for about 8 years, sometimes every week. David and his crew, Carlos and others are all friendly. Today was a beautiful and warm fall day, I prepaid and drove up to the lot and as usual checked in with the guy in the lot, and he said I can go up to the tee since no one is there at the time. At the first tee as I was about to take off my head cover, this new guy or at least I’ve never seen him before, drives up to me and asks for my name, in a very demanding way, as if I didn’t pay or something. After asking for my name, he has no list with…

10 minute walk from the Woodlawn 4 train station, friendly and welcoming staff (David was so kind), and excellent conditions especially considering the season (39 degrees mid-December with recent rain). Driving range, chipping and putting areas, and a challenging but short 9 hole course. Can’t ask for more from a course in the city! Highly recommend. Note: no golf carts during the winter season, push carts only!

I love Mosholu, I live in Manhattan, I get a locker, so do not even have to drag my clubs back and forth ( a spare set) I understand they are refurbishing the whole place, with 56 bays, food etc. No need, for Chelsea piers. Moreover, there is a new Manager, William Burns ( billy). I can not say enough good things about him. too much typing

Mosholu Golf Course is a hidden gem in the Bronx. Whether you’re a beginner or just looking to get in a quick 9 holes, this course delivers a surprisingly enjoyable experience. The layout is short but challenging enough to keep it fun, with well-maintained fairways and greens that play better than you’d expect for a public city course. The staff is always friendly, the pace of play is usually great, and the setting—nestled right next to Van Cortlandt Park—makes you feel like you’re miles from the city. Their driving range and practice facilities are top-notch for the area, and it’s a perfect…
