Pelham Bay Split Rock Golf Club is frequently praised for its stunning venue, particularly for weddings and events, with guests highlighting the professional and attentive staff, beautiful scenery, and excellent food. The course conditions and layout are generally well-regarded, although some visitors have noted issues with the pace of play and organizational challenges, such as confusing check-in procedures and communication about tee times. Despite these concerns, the overall experience is often described as memorable and enjoyable, especially for special occasions.

This golf course is an absolutely stunning venue for a wedding, especially for a Hindu ceremony. The grounds are very spacious with plenty of parking, and the staff provided excellent service throughout the day. The greenery and open golf course views created the perfect backdrop, offering a beautiful contrast to the vibrant colors of the ceremony. As you can see from the photos, the setting made for a truly memorable and breathtaking celebration. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a mix of elegance, space, and natural beauty!

I previously attended the Mother’s Day event at the club and couldn’t have had a better time. Not only do they have a brand new ballroom overlooking the golf course, but they also had an outdoor DJ, lawn games, and the buffet stayed open so guests could go up multiple times. The food was great, the atmosphere was amazing, and my family was so happy we decided to come here instead of going to a restaurant. Our waitress, Cat, was super attentive and even remembered us when we came back for Easter. Jonathan the bartender makes the best espresso martinis! Looking forward to attending future even…

Nice track, would differently recommend playing. No complaints other than pace of play! Wish they had ranger out out on a course.

We had our wedding at Pelham Bay & Split Rock Golf Courses, and everything was absolutely perfect! The staff was so attentive and professional from start to finish. John Braca was amazing he made everything so easy and was always available to answer any questions. Our maître d’, Al, was organized, friendly, and made sure the entire day ran seamlessly. Alexis, our bridal attendant, was incredibly sweet and attentive — she made sure we always had food and drinks and went above and beyond to make us comfortable throughout the night. Our guests are still raving about the food, especially the cock…

I recently hosted my job's annual fundraiser at Split Rock Golf Course, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The events coordination team was exceptional—responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail was perfect. They guided us through planning with professionalism and creativity, which made the process stress-free. On the day of the event, the staff went above and beyond. Their attentiveness and ability to anticipate needs ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing us to focus on enjoying the evening with our guests. And the food—absolutely d…

They have a great greens keeper. Had gotten expensive but what hasn't. They have bald eagles between 10th and 11th holes

I’ve played Split Rock before, but this most recent round was one of the most frustrating golf experiences I’ve had. I booked a 7:20 AM tee time, showed up a solid 35–40 minutes early, paid $90 for 18 holes with a cart, and expected a smooth start. Instead, after waiting in line to check in, I went to the first tee only to be told after my tee time that 18-hole rounds start on Hole 10. By then I was sent behind four groups and ended up teeing off 40 minutes late—through no fault of my own. Apparently this “start on 10” system has been around for a while, but I don’t remember it from prior vis…

Was pleasantly surprised with the course, grabbed a last minute tee time the night before and had gotten mixed reviews. The greens were well kept and clean, the rough was decent, the traps were a bit of a mess but we had a 11 tee time on a Saturday so that really falls on the golfers than the course and the tee boxes were solid. The course was nicely layed out too. If it's your 1st time there, the check in, get your cart, bag drop situation is a bit confusing. My buddy drove and they charge for parking but only take cash unless you pay at the clubhouse which doesn't allow you to care for tha…

Our wedding at Pelham Bay & Split Rock was everything we dreamed of and more. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. We had our ceremony outside at the gazebo and the reception in the pavilion, and both spaces were beyond what we imagined. From start to finish, every single person we worked with from the venue was kind, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure our wedding was perfect. I’ll be honest, I was a little anxious knowing we were the second event of the day, but the way the team handled our wedding made me feel completely at ease. Alongside my day-of coordinator, they ex…

After exploring some courses around the NYC/Staten Island/NJ area this might be the worst course I've ever been to. It's not the quality of the course that is the problem, it's actually pretty nice. It's the service and experience 100% negatively impacting your day. Firstly, the pricing is outrageous and the pro-shop scoffs at you if you don't purchase their overpriced Off spray for bugs. "Good luck buddy!" is what I got when most clubs (can't even call this place a club) would probably have it for free in the rest rooms - especially looking at other reviews where people are eaten alive and t…

As far the courses go, they're great and pretty well kept, for the most part. They upkeep the greens fairly often, but that also means putting in inconsistent conditions. That being said, the reason for lowly review, is due to being what I assume and chalk up as simple racial profiling. Granted I was out with young looking golfers (we’re all early 20s & minorities) but to say “don’t do anything illegal on the carts?” and repeat it over and over before we even left the tee box? - we’re all dressed the part, polo slacks and spikes. What other reason could they be? Starter didnt even say it to an…
