In summary

Miner Hills Golf Course is frequently praised for its challenging layout, well-maintained greens, and the opportunity it provides to hone short game skills, particularly with its undulating greens and elevation changes. The staff is generally described as friendly, and the course offers a rustic, wooded setting that enhances the golfing experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with customer service, inconsistent pricing, and occasional maintenance challenges, particularly after rain.

I played here for the first time recently. I am a <5 handicap PGA Associate pro with a different golf course. I've played just about every golf course within a 20 mile radius of Middletown, and unfortunately I fell subject to listening to other peoples opinions of this place. So here's my take. I'm so glad I finally journeyed here. I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew it was going to be a generally easy course with 6 par 3s, and 3 short par 4s. I knew it was Al Zerkis designed which meant tricky undulating greens (which admittedly were just aerated and a discounted rate would have been preferr…

Miners is a challenging, very well maintained course. Your game will improve by navigating narrow fairways, elevation changes and the famous undulating greens. This is not a bombers layout. There's a couple of chances to break out driver, (and a couple of holes where you wish you didn't!). Instead though, it's perfect for dialing in the irons and wedges. Been wanting to learn how to fade your 7? This is the place. You will be penalized on bad shots as it should be. I've been playing with buddies for a couple of years there, and every time I discover something new. First off, you might need to…

Great smaller course with 3 short par 4s. Do not let the total yardage of the course fool you. Some of the greens will leave you scratching your head. Overall a solid and challenging little course. The only downside is a few of the greens are just unforgiving. Even great golf shots may not hold the surface. You have to know the course to shoot a decent number here. The most challenging short course I've ever played. Always great times here.

The course is quite unkept and have played better for cheaper. I came here with my younger siblings when we came to the front desk we weren’t allowed to rent two carts since one is under their allow age to drive the cart. But because of this and the fact that we were new to the game it lead the owner to constantly harass us about our speed on a open course. They were harassing us so much to point it brought my youngest brother*age 11* to tears. We came here attempting improve our skill and gain a love for the game.We left with our confidence and spirits down. This is not beginner friendly course…

Best kept secret! It's challenging yet not so much so that it's not enjoyable. Course is well maintained, friendly staff. It's my "home course"

It is a nice little golf course. Well maintained. I especially liked the greens. Very undulating, makes you work on you putting. Also makes you think about your shot placement. I will definitely be back again.

I found this course while searching for new golf experiences in Connecticut. Even though it's right off the highway, it's tucked back and you really get a wooded experience while you're there; no sound from the expressway bleeds in. This is a very enjoyable, playable, 9-hole course. Best played walking (they have carts, but it's a short course and carts are path only so you're really just slowing everyone down walking to your sliced ball). Lots of elevation change and the greens have a fair amount of undulation which will punish you for misreads. Most holes are par 3 with a couple par 4s - b…

This is my favorite local course. Very "rustic," cart path only for carts, and few fancy amenities, BUT the course is well-maintained, the people are friendly, and it is relatively easy to get a tee time. This is a course you can walk if you don't mind a few steep hills. There's plenty of challenge in the course layout, and the ladies' tees are generally well-placed (not a random afterthought)!

Lady pulled up on a golf cart on our 7th hole and told us we aren’t good enough to be there. Felt very unwelcome and my spirits are crushed to pursue golf any further

I would just like to say that I am so disappointed in the attitude that comes with even paying for a game a golf from the lady who is at the desk who mind you is supposed to greet you with kindness and respect. However she did not only give me and my friends attitude but she seemed arrogant and very impatient to wait for us to get everything out. Thai place used to be the place where we all enjoyed but after this experience I will not be giving any of my money to them. On the other hand their prices are not stable. One day it’s $35, the next it’s $28 and then it’s $25. Pick a price will you…

I frequent this golf course, I live in this town. It's not the prettiest, it's not the cleanest, and not very big. With that said....this place is great, I have fun at this course every time I go, great beginner course, easily completed in under 2 hours. The price is $23 for a round of 9, without comparing random groupon deals this is easily the cheapest around. I highly recommend going here if you just want to have fun with a bunch of friends. No issues when I bring my own beverages, one time they scolded me for collecting lost balls, no big deal. Only 3 holes you can use your driver, the res…

Good 9 hole course. Played in the Spring after some rain and it was very wet. A number of plugged balls and you could see water seeping out of the greens as you stood on them. Definitely would play there again after things dry out.
