In summary

Rolling Greens Golf Course receives mixed reviews from visitors. Many appreciate its convenient location and challenging layout, with some noting the potential for a more enjoyable experience if conditions improve. However, frequent criticisms highlight poor maintenance, including issues with tee boxes, fairways, and greens, as well as concerns over pricing relative to the course's condition. What a difference a year makes! Under new management and they are doing a wonderful job! The greens are “Rolling Green” again and the fairways are in great shape. My wife and I like to play and then go to Casa Mia restaurant that is on the premises afterwards. Highly recommended.

Really saddens me to say this as I’ve played when the course was very well maintained years ago, but it is not worth what they are asking for a 9 hole, not even close actually. Tee boxes were all dirt, weeds growing on the green, fairways were non existent… very very bad. Stay away and spend a couple extra bucks somewhere else. Wouldn’t recommend to beginners either just because of how awful the experience was.

Yes. Every bad review you’ve read is true. The tee boxes suck. The fairways suck. The greens suck. Everything sucks. This creates a golfing experience unlike any other. Like the zombie apocalypse ravaged the human population and you, the lone survivor, stumbled upon what humans used to call a “golf course” (generously, at that). This course is the golf equivalent of getting waterboarded. The best part about the round was the relief walking off the 9th green, knowing my nightmare was over. If you have any self-respect, stay away.

Played on 4/27/2025 a Sunday. This by very, very far is the worst golf course I have ever step foot on, never mind played. Tee boxes, all dirt. Greens have not been cut and extremely slow. More mold than grass. Fairways are full of dandelions, don't use a yellow ball. Worst cart paths i have ever encountered. I think they should just close this place down and build housing. I think that's the plan, because they certainly are not putting money into the course.

First the positives. Location. This course sits within a neighborhood of condos and apartments. Easily accessed by anyone who lives within minutes drive. I only live 8 minutes. General layout. Great! Short holes yes, but not easy unless you can intentionally draw or fade. Otherwise, you'd need to control your shots well. Also some of the holes rise and fall in elevation presenting enough interests. Green. IF (and that's a BIG IF) the conditions were good, I think the greens will be very challenging and interesting. Negatives. Tall grass everywhere. I could not distinguish between a fairway an…

Played here yesterday because it was close to my buddies house. This course was really nice.... 25 YEARS AGO. Now I don't even know how they call themselves a golf course. By far the worst course with the worst conditions I've ever seen. How they can charge $30 for 9 is beyond me. That's about $29.99 more than it was worth. Do yourself a favor, NEVER go here. Fairways are not existent. Greens are not greens. They're brown dirt with fungus everywhere. Seriously, go play in a field somewhere, you'll have a much better experience.

Worst course I've ever played!! Tee boxes were very bad, fairways had dandelions all over the place. Also, the putting greens were horrible!! The owner, must not be a golfer, and not care about the patrons. It's a shame, because it has the potential to be a nice course, but they have to put money into it. Don't waste your time, or money, golf elsewhere. The photos shown on the website are not accurate. I gotta say, the restaurant was decent though.

My first reaction to this place was, is this managed by MDM golf? The layout is interesting however the conditions are a joke. Dirt tee boxes, no fairway to speak of, no bunkers, greens are on their last legs. I think it is a stretch to call this place a golf course. It is shame, previous management kept the place in respectable conditions. Whoever is in charge of this course should be ashamed. It is by far the worst course in Connecticut.

Very challenging course in a beautiful setting. Tee boxes weren't in great shape today but it was my first time playing so I don't know if this is usual. Overall, definitely a 9 hole course worth playing.

I've been here a few times, usually for "memorial" type luncheons, once with my father in law who just wanted to take me out to lunch, many years ago. And again today, Memorial for my friend Joe F. Seems the same, hasn't changed. It's clean/ modern enough. Food was good. Our party was larger than planned, but the staff rolled out more tables. When the food ran out, they brought out more in a reasonable amount of time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice location, slight views of the golf course

Great place for beginners and intermediate players. Reasonably priced. They have a small practice area to practice your short game right before first hole tee area. Couple of the holes are a little challenging but it's fun. The greens are decently maintained. It wasn't crowded on a Saturday noon time, so we took our time to complete the 9 hole. The golf course is in between residencial areas, you will have to cross a few roads as your go through. Wish they had 100 yard and 150 yard markings on the fairway.

I'll update this if I get more of a resolution since it wasn't the courses fault. I went around twice with some time in-between rounds. During the time my bag was outside the club house while I was paying my driver was stolen. The manager wasn't there to pull the camera footage to see who stole it and I'm still waiting on a call (Its been three days now). So the $44 round ended up costing me an extra $250 to replace my driver.. Once again not the courses fault people suck but it makes me not want to go back. The course was fun to play which is the unfortunate part.
