Great golf courses in great condition. This is the best public golf facility in the area, by far. All three courses have benefits worth exploring! The Jones course is a beautiful park style course with challenging length and bunkers. The Player course is a unique course that tests your versatility and ability to make different shots from tees and fairways. The apple 9 course is fun for beginners and a great place to practice the basics, even as an experienced golfer.

Its a beautiful track. The best views you can find on a golf course in CT. I just don't understand why they mow down the rough around tee boxes, but not around the fairway. You get punished for good shots because they can't loop a cut.

EDIT: The course itself is great, and I also respect that staff cannot acquiesce to every customer's wants. Frontline staff have a difficult job and I completely understand and respect that. Mostly this review is about customer service and communication. This is specifically for the Apple Course. It is a swamp today (check out my drives, two different holes and the ball is halfway down in the fairway), and the range is closed. I bought a $100 range card, and more often than not the range has been closed due to mowing (Monday morning) or rain... but not enough rain to keep the staff from using…

* I have not played here since 2022. Looks like there are a lot of people unhappy golfers due to the green fee increase. * I wish I can review the Players course and the Jones course separately. I can probably write a paper on each one of them because I played each course nearly 100 times in the 90’s. When I played there for free as a golf team member of Wesleyan University. I revisited for the first time in multiple decades in 2022. With my wife, who is a beginner. And the magic was still there, fortunately. Course condition was not impeccable; it never was. Jones course hasn’t changed a bi…

Great course. Well maintained and a solid pace of play by the other players. It was very easy to book in advance and pay once we arrived.

September 2023 - this year's annual event we attended late but were happy to revisit here despite the hot and humid weather which there were few of this summer. The daily schedule consisted of carnival games, face painting for kids, concessions, a lunch buffet, speaker presentations and a ticket to the four acre corn maze with over a mile of pathways! The theme this year is based on the classic film "The Wizard of Oz" and trivia signs are placed throughout the maze along the way. This year marks the 24th anniversary of the Lyman Orchards corn maze. The food provided here was a nice balance of…

Visiting from Michigan and was impressed by this course. Was very well maintained and challenging! Would love to come back! By far the best course we golfed on our trip!

I only get the chance to play here about once a year, but it's a beautiful place. I played both courses, and I've had zero complaints. Everything is well taken care of, the staff are very nice, the views are amazing, and the clubhouse is very relaxing. Highly recommend trying it.

Played the Players Course on June 14 went out at 2:45. The course was in overall great shape for a public course. It is narrow and slopey so if you don't hit straight be prepared to lose some balls. I am a 61 yr old female and I played from White tees. After about 6 holes we had nobody in front or behind us and the weather was perfect. Our son is a golf pro so we play many public and private courses. On 06/21 played again it was exremely hot fast greens, crowded due to fathers day but overall pace was good. Course was much dryer due to heat but still in good shape. Please repair your ball mark…

Played the Apple Course, and the starter was extremely rude. From the start, he was condescending to our group. He kept staring at us in a weird way to make sure we were moving. Our group was moving at a solid pace, and he was very rude. I play golf a lot, and I don’t think I will play there again.

Played the players course two weeks ago and it was ABSURD how long the rough was. The greens were in good shape, and so were the fairways, but the rough was absurd. I’m 6’2 and in some spots the rough was almost up to my knees. The tee boxes were mangled and uneven also. I don’t know if this is the normal length for rough on the course but it was ridiculous. You couldn’t find your ball and you had to swing out of your shoes to get it out. Charging $60-$75 for a course in this condition is Ridiculous
