The course is noted for its scenic beauty and reasonable pricing, offering a good value for the experience. However, some players have pointed out issues such as slow pace of play and the need for improved amenities like beverage services and clearer signage for navigation. Additionally, there are occasional concerns about the condition of certain facilities, such as the restrooms.

While the on-course experience was nearly flawless, let’s talk about the situation that almost led to a full-scale golfer revolt. The lack of beverage services— “cart girl” drought—was a major psychological blow. We were parched! Worse yet, when we started dreaming of making the turn, the absence of those glorious, questionable, standard-issue golf course hotdogs was downright unsettling. Honestly, what are we supposed to snack on, lint? Management, please, for the sake of our blood sugar and our primal golfing needs, get some snacks and some cart girls with drinks out there. A great course de…

I’ve played this course many times over the years. I got to play two twilight rounds here this week, and the course is in fantastic shape. The pro shop workers are always friendly. Great conditions, fair pricing, and checks every box you could ask for in a public course. I’m a happy customer, and will continue to support this course. It has quickly become a local favorite of mine.

Greens are a bit bumpy, fairways are pretty good, the tee boxes all suffered during the summer but with the cooler weather and some work will probably recover in 2 -3 weeks. Great layout, always enjoy playing here

I played Hunter GC for the 1st time in many years, on 7/6/25, and I was pleasantly surprised/thoroughly impressed. The course was in tremendously good condition. Previously, every time I played Hunters, it was overly soggy. That's what came to my mind, when I continually chose to pass when HMGC was proposed. Now, I look forward to returning sometime soon.////Played again on 10/5/25 and the greens were even better than in July. Quick, true, and not covered in unfixed ball marks.

Good course in Meriden close to family. The layout is straightforward and not too challenging. The course is a couple years away from their last good greenskeeper, with ant hills in the fairway and a few torn up tee boxes. It would not take much effort to return this course to full glory, perhaps some elbow grease. I will give the course another try to see if it improves. Good value for the money.

I played Hunter Memorial Golf Course today, and although the staff appeared friendly, my overall experience was profoundly disappointing and unacceptable. I witnessed blatant disrespect and overtly obscene language from members of one of the engineering leagues, including direct name-calling, all because they were delaying course play. Despite the course marshal instructing me to continue, three individuals from that league threatened me when I attempted to proceed. This form of intimidation and hostile behavior is absolutely intolerable and fundamentally undermines the spirit of the game. I c…

Great course without the high cost. Clean well maintained. Great challenges for the mid-handicap golfer.

It's been years since I pulll3d out the clubs, so I dusted them off today and went with a colleague after work to hit the range. Will be on the course in a couple of days, so can make a better assessment then, but it looked well maintained and not overcrowded.

The course is currently very good shape. Very hilly, with many elevated greens.

Very well maintained, Tom and Staff seen working diligently despite weather conditions. Bo b, the Pro always accomodating. Prices very reasonable in comparison to other public courses. Love the carts. Sometimes pace of play a small issue but that not often

Beautiful course, well maintained. Lots of challenge, combined with great scenery, especially in the fall. Lost a star because the ladies rooms are very tired and smell bad.

Thought the course was awesome! It was my first time playing there. Greens and fairways in great condition, it is a narrow course. Only complaint is that the location of the next tee box is not always clear. A couple of added signs would help new players like me to navigate.
