In summary

Maumee Bay Golf Course is often praised for its beautiful and challenging layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for golfers of all skill levels. The course offers a good value for the price, set in a scenic state park with additional amenities available at the resort. However, some visitors have noted issues with the condition of the fairways, goose droppings on certain holes, and occasional slow pace of play.

staff was friendly and courteous...nice layout with nice rough and sneaky water holes..got to stay in the fairways as rough is not forgiving greens were well maintained even for being late in the year... fairways were better than expected this late.. definitely a must play especially at the cheap price.. only negative would be cart paths are rough in spots.

Disgusted by the conditions of the fairways! It doesn't look like any effort is going into maintaining them. Tea boxes and greens were in good shape though Not sure why there's always been issues with a credit card machine for the past few years at least .

Nice course. Play short if you can keep the ball in the fairways. With that said some holes play longer due to wind. Fairways are in ok shape. Greens roll true and were fast but not overly fast. I would recommend anyone play this course at anytime. Will be back.

Very fun course. Greens were in great shape and the most interesting part of the course. Some of the fairways did have some brown spots but only in a few places and plenty of good fairway to take a drop. No forced carries, good for all levels of players. Could easily play the course multiple times during a stay at the resort.

Course is in terrible condition. Goose crap all over. In fact on almost every shot. I had goose crap on or near my ball. Fairways are patchy & rough is so long had a hard time finding our ball. I would not recommend it.

Everything is real nice about this course, but the slow play will get you.

Nice track in the state park. Not expensive. Driving range as well. We had a chilly morning and they had hot coffee and hot chocolate. Also breakfast sandwiches were good. Links style course.

I'm partial to Arthur Hills designs, and Maumee Bay is no exception. Played in June 2023 - which was my 3rd time playing it (once a long time ago in high school, and then last year and this year). The course rates are super reasonable - Paid $40 for 18/cart on Father's Day. Since it's owned by the Parks Department I assume that's what helps keep the cost reasonable. This isn't the BEST layout of the Arthur Hills courses in the area, but it is still a really good one. With the wind blowing you have to hit good shots to be able to score, and some of the holes play super long if into the wind.…

What a great course. Extremely fast greens and fairways are in amazing shape and will reward with a good lie / ground to hit off of if you make it in. It’s not like other public courses in the Toledo area where the fairway and rough doesn’t matter due to their condition. This is a hidden gem and sure to get more popular as time goes on.

I played here early last year and it was great all the way around. Nice links style layout, great conditions, challenging but fair according to tee choice, also a good value with my passbook.Everything was still great this time except for all the goose droppings. The first 3 or 4 holes are especially bad. Not sure what can be done about it but it made some of the greens almost unputtable. Maybe come earlier in the year for most enjoyment.I will for sure be back, just not in August.
