What People Say

In summary

Jackson Chase Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, challenging layout, and good value, with several reviewers noting the course's improved condition under new ownership. The course features wide fairways and fast greens, but some players find the greens too challenging due to their speed and undulations. However, there are concerns about occasional maintenance issues, inconsistent tee box conditions, and some dissatisfaction with customer service and course management, particularly regarding pace of play and pricing.

Played nine holes. Definitely good spots but service and fun day. About 35 mins from Fairfax.

Great course!!! Love the layout. Good value. Friendly staff. Never too packed. Even has a solid driving range. Only issue is the greens. PLEASE SLOW THEM DOWN!! Greens are too fast for the amount of slope and undulations they have. Borderline unfair for average golfers.

3.9 stars TL;DR: Budget friendly course; super nice staff; decent conditions February 2024 INFO: ~Greens fees were on the cheaper side ($45 pp; could be due to off season) ~Have to buy separate range balls (Large was $10) ~Range was on grass tees which was nice (Did not have stands to lay your clubs) ~Had plenty of golf carts (do not have the rain covers) ~Starter on hole 1 was so nice ~Actually had a marshal driving around to ensure pace of play ~No snack/beverage cart but probably because it's off season (saw a cart but not in use that day) COURSE: ~Wide fairways; straight holes (not man…

Course is pretty easy to get tee time. I would give it a 5 star if the course was in better conditions. Fairways not really cut and greens were punched but improperly filled causing the ball to bounce in any direction. I love the layout

Very beginner golfer here, but I have to say the entire staff (including 3 rangers we met) made our day! Not sure where the other reviews calling folks "rude" are coming from - everyone we met was all smiles and full of good vibes. Found the course to be challenging but pretty and interesting and better maintained than many others we've played recently. We'll be back here for sure.

The course is in great shape. This course has a lot of blind drives, so it's a challenge until you get familiar with the course. The staff is very nice. I'll be playing here more often when I'm up in the area.

Drove 5 hours to play this course when we get there they tell us there water pumps aren’t working it’s cart path only and we aren’t allowed on the tee box’s. Which is understandable but they charge us full weekend rate and move the tee blocks in to 3” rough on the side of hills. Moving them up so far the course was more like a pitch and putt then a golf course. The course marshals are rude but don’t do anything about painfully slow play. Had a morning and afternoon tee time booked here and left after the morning to go back to Shenandoah valley much better golf course.

Places in great shape… staff couldn’t be friendlier and I came back home with both my arm and leg…

Disappointed in the staff. Was told it was cart path only because of no rain..I understand. Yet they put the tee boxes in the 3 inch rough a hundred yards closer. Not Fun. We started on 10 at 830. We made the turn at 10:05 and they had started putting people off 1??? What the heck. We finished 2 at 11:30. Very disappointed.

I’ve played here about 15 times as it’s a good halfway point for me and my family. I can’t believe that they are charging 70$ on par (no pun intended) with the other two nicer courses in the area. This used to be the good affordable family option but now I might as well play Shenandoah Valley or blue ridge shadows which are much nicer courses for the same price.

Called ahead to make sure we could play a 6 man scramble with 2 tee times and they said it was fine over the phone and when we got there to check in, then the ranger held us up for 15 minutes on the first tee box telling us we couldn’t play a 6 man 3 team scramble after they told me twice already we could or we wouldn’t of even booked there, crazy we’ve played the same thing at multiple other courses in the area and they didn’t have a single issue. Hate to leave a bad review but they ruined something me and my buddies look forward to all winter
