Hemlock Springs Golf Club

Played after a day of rain. The course had drained well and the greens were in good shape along with the fairways. Staying in the fairway was at a premium, as once you were off the rough was thick and high. It desperately needed cut and the amount of weeds/dandelions was overwhelming. Finding any shot in in the rough was very difficult. I found as many lost balls by others as my own when looking for a shot. Positives: Every green had perfect grass. Smooth and quick. Very walkable, green to tees had no long distances and although there is terrian its pretty but not with oppressive climbs. Easy access from I-90. Friendly staff. Nice layout. $5 off military discount. Positives with negativesl: Fairway grass - plenty of good and ok lies but much of the course has had fungal infections. Bunkers had good sand but edges had lots of areas where the grass has started growing into the bunkers, the course seemed to not groom them and clientele did a poor job raking.

Wow, the greens were in good shape. They rolled very smoothly, but the speed was a little slow. There was some burnt out spot on Fairways and greens approaches. A real gem out in Ashtabula county.

This course will hold a place in my heart forever now because I just shot my best round ever here. To be fair the fairways weren’t in the greatest shape and allowed a ton of roll out because they’re so hard. The greens at least make up for it being in pretty good shape. Course is fairly easy but not that short. Greens are on the smaller side but fairly even and good grab to them.

Great course in great shape. Fun to play Clubhouse folks are phenomenal and food is good. Enjoy this hidden gem!!!!! Will be back again next year!!! Keep up the great job They close for season 11.3.2025

Nice course, decently maintained, but play can get slow at times. The young lady did make a pretty good bloody mary!

I have been to a lot, of courses The staff and course were both excellent as usual good food. Hot day they actually brought out water highly recommend

Was fun at first then on the 8th hole we were told to hurry up and blamed for a hold up when the group in front of us broke into 2 groups and took forever. The owner was very rude telling me to grab my driver and hurry while my son was getting ready to tee off and waiting for the people in front of us. Not professional at all. Golf is not a speed sport. Think he messed with us because we weren't a big group. Prices are ridiculous. We were told 40 and were charged 60 something. I guess phone prices aren't the same as real prices. Owner sucks. Course was in fantastic shape across the board. Tee boxes, fairways, greens were all well kept. Very affordable, great experience. Will come back next year on our vacation

Was there for and outing. Pleasant staff. Overall a good time.
