The bartender makes a great old fashioned. Scotch and Rocks are beautiful! The restaurant is cozy, and the food was good. Everyone we met was super friendly. I’d love to do this during the holidays.

Course is in decent shape as we played in early July. There appeared to be a ton of divots that were not fixed on the greens which became annoying as the round went. Front nine plays pretty flat while the back does have a bit of elevation change to it (know this if you do decide to walk). We were behind a foursome of locals who were older and walking. These were the slowest people ever as multiple groups were waiting on the tee box while they were searching for their lost ball. Starter said that they should know better.

I am so impressed by this golf course. It's definitely a great test of golf as well as being very playable. The grounds crew does incredible work and has the course in great shape. It's definitely a course you want to play and then stay for some delicious food and drinks afterward.

Haymaker GC has the best customer service of any public course I've ever played. I was in town from Boston for a wedding and managed to squeeze in a round on a quiet Sunday afternoon. From the golf shop to the bag drop and the starter, everyone was so friendly. Greens were perfect, course design was a lot of fun with some memorable holes, especially on the back 9. Definitely worth playing if you're in Steamboat Springs during the summer.

Not nice people at all. Came for my brothers bachelor trip and booked 2 tee times. Played 3, 2 man scramble teams and were told we were good to go by the starter and kept pace of play. We were waiting for the group in front of us on most tee boxes. Never had a group waiting for us, talked to the groups in front and behind us and they were cool with it. Midway thru the 9th hole some jerk comes and tells of off saying he’s gonna kick us off the course for playing more than 4 in a group. Calmly explained we’d been told we were good and we were scrambling keeping pace. He said he didn’t care and…

We wanted to take pictures but were rushed in the beginning. Then upon our return others were waiting to go out & were wanting to take pictures. They let them take pictures like we didn't matter. Our waiter did not remove our finished appetizer plates or other things that were empty. Our table was cluttered. He didn't even offer something different when 2 of my party didn't like or eat the soup. Service should have been better for the price that I paid.

We booked two tee times so our group of 6 could all play together for my bachelor trip, no problem keeping pass of play and we were right on the group in front of us and after being told we could play as a group of 6 they got pissy halfway through and told us we can’t tee off together or they’ll kick us off, $200 golf for an alright course and the worst service and sportsmanship you’ll see. Don’t recommend

A beautiful public course with a very friendly and helpful staff. This is my home course and it never gets old. It may look wide open from the road but as with most links style courses plenty of challenges await with undulations, fairway berms, bunkers and water hazards. I do have instances where under my breath I scold course architect Keith Foster for rewarding my straight drive with a strategically placed bunker or berm, but then again I don’t hit it straight that often! Don’t be afraid to move up a tee box or play the “hybrid” tee box options on the scorecard. All are rated in the GHIN han…

Wow, what a jerk. What a beautiful golf course and then a guy with a name of a bunny helps me. He overcharges me and it takes a manager to correct it. Wouldn’t apologize, never admitted he was wrong. He wouldn’t recognize my thank you and have a good day. Hesitated giving me my receipt. Everyone else is nice though.
