In summary

Hawk's Tail of Greenfield is appreciated for its friendly staff, enjoyable course layout, and well-maintained greens, with some visitors highlighting the quality of the food, particularly the tenderloin. However, there are frequent criticisms regarding the overall course maintenance, with issues like crabgrass and poorly maintained bunkers being noted, as well as concerns about the high pricing relative to the course conditions. Additionally, some guests have experienced slow pace of play and inadequate on-course amenities like water and food availability.

If you’re not sure about if you should go out for a meal or cook something at home, do yourself a favor and stay home. The food is comparable to middle school cafeteria. I waited 45 minutes for this “pulled pork”.

Pretty and unique course. Staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. Back 9 got rained out so we hit the simulator for another nine. Nice little 2 bay set up. Food was, and I don't say this lightly, the best golf course grub I have ever had and nearly the best tenderloin ever eaten. I definitely recommend this course.

I played Hawk's Tail on Saturday for $61.... which was way overpriced, but it was a gorgeous day not to be missed. The course conditions were below average in many spots. Crabgrass and bare spots in fairways. Some greens had dead grass areas. And some of the tee boxes looked terrible with weeds. This was very disappointing.

Love the place, love the food. It's all about the atmosphere and enjoying time with friends and family. They do it well

Price is way too high. 61$ on a Sunday. The grass was way too high, bunkers weren’t great, dandelions everywhere, no water in ball cleaners, no sand for divots. Just seems like for 60 bucks you can play a much better course that is maintained a lot better. I played arrowhead for 40-45 on a weekend and it’s a much better maintained course. Just seems like a scam.

The price is WAY too high for the conditions of the course, the clubhouse, and the personnel. No drinking water on the course. Crabgrass everywhere. The greens were in reasonable condition. The layout is weird. This was a one and done.

Never would have known about this place and or found it without another couple going with us. The Tenderloins were excellent but next time I think we might try their broasted chicken. Are waitresses a great young gal that really tried to best to take care of us as much as she could. Although I'm not sure they like a lot of people coming in unless you're there at the golf course it was a nice little cozy place.

Me and my buddies played this morning and was not impressed. $38.00 dollars for a course that is not well maintained compared to the $30 dollar courses we play. Definitely overpriced for a weekday. Just our opinion,.Because we all have played together every Monday for over 26 yrs and we play all around Indy and surrounding counties and this course will not make our top 50. The greens were in good shape, but weeds all over the course and with this heat they have no water on any hole.

Service was great and kind, we were a group of 4 and never felt rushed to push forward so Tee time separation was amazing. The course is nice, greens were very well and sand traps were beachy. I will definitely be coming back more often. You get what you pay for and it was definitely worth it!

Service was wonderful. We brought our children, 12 & 15. The course is set up beautifully, and the added kitchen made the best tenderloin we'd ever had! We will definitely be coming back again and again.

Not impressed. Greens were nice but the course conditions are terrible. White weeds/grass all over the fairways. $61.00 to play a course not well taken care of. Nicer courses in the area for better prices. Would not recommend

Hopefully this can serve as a quick and unbiased review: I came here in March of 2024, so keep that in mind when it comes to conditions. Layout: FUN!! *Even the "boring" holes are challenging enough because of length and fairway tightness, so you'll never be complacent. A lot of tee shots on course that allow you to either go for it or lay up, risk reward is a plenty here. There's a par 5 and par 4 that encourage laying up, but if you send driver on the right line youll have insanely good looks at birdie and eagle, but if you bottle it you'll be lucky to make bogey. So for what it is its a 5…
