In summary

Guilford Lakes Golf Course is praised for its beautiful and well-maintained par 3 layout, offering a scenic and challenging experience suitable for golfers of all skill levels. The course is often described as a "hidden gem" with a thoughtful design that provides a great opportunity to practice short game skills. While the staff is generally considered friendly and professional, some visitors have noted issues with the height of the rough and occasional slow pace of play.

I had a fantastic experience playing at Guilford Lakes Golf Course! This small par 3 course is an absolute hidden gem. It only took me about an hour to play 9 holes, making it perfect for a quick and enjoyable round. The course is beginner-friendly but still offers a beautiful and thoughtful layout that can be appreciated by golfers of all levels. Despite being October, the course was very well-maintained, and the fall foliage was breathtaking, adding to the scenic charm. I can see why they call it ‘little Augusta’—it has that special, tucked-away feel while still delivering a great golf exper…

Beautiful 9 hole par 3! Course was in excellent shape, very few ball marks on the greens. The players taking care of the Course. If you are looking for a cardio workout, this is the place. Fun little course.

I call it "mini Augusta" always in great shape and white sand in the bunkers. My only suggestion is please cut the grass down. This par 3 course is a beginners paradise or the single digit handicap looking to sharpen their skills. 4-5" rough throughout the whole course outside of the fairway is completely unnecessary. It should all be short grass. The open layout and lack of trees allows all skill sets to play but the long grass inhibits that. Keep the fairways their length but please cut down everything else below 2" and let everyone of all ages and skills enjoy the game!!

Great little 9 hole walking only course in Guilford. Never too busy so it’s very relaxing to go out and just have fun. If you want to play fast get out there early — there are usually kids and some slower players out come mid morning. Prices are reasonable for what it is. There is a discount for Guilford residents. The course is honestly beautiful and a good time for a good price.

Great part 3 course perfect for a quick after work tune up round. Low price walking only greens are bit rough right now but still a good time.

2022 was my 1st yr playing here. I purchased a Season’s pass (non-resident senior) at a reasonable price. I play 3-5 mornings a week. The entire course (tee boxes, fairways and greens) has been in great shape (even during the long, hot drought), well-maintained & well-managed. It’s a bit challenging for an average golfer as a “target” course. Brush and thick fringe along the fairways plus several water hazards on 4 holes grab lots of golf balls! The hole layout variety keeps it interesting. I hit from the Whites. I tee off with a 5-hybrid on 2 holes; a 6-hybrid on 1 hole, and a 4-hybrid on #9;…

The course is a 'must stop' for anyone passing through. Just a few minutes off I-95, a great way to spend 1.5 hours. Short course but with a memorable layout. Something for everyone. Uphill holes, Downward, over water. The longest hole is 180, so the younger players can even use their driver. Impeccable conditions, except that the fairways are kept high. I guess they figure you shoud be hitting the green. But that's ok. A perfect course to practice your short game and have lots of fun on this special course. Definately should be in the Top 100 par 3's.

This is a great little course that you can play in little more than an hour if the course is clear. The longest hole is 220 yards and built into a hillside. Making the challenge to hit the greens or play from the ruff. I really like the course and will be back.

Love this short course! Don't be fooled, it's not easy, quite narrow and beautifully maintained. Excellent place to work on your short game. A nice quick 9!

This was my second time to Guilford Lakes Par 3 Course, it is a beautiful course. Not difficult but great place to practice your short game. Only issue I had was the guy at the counter had an attitude and refused me and a friend to play bc we didnt have a tee time. But other than a 4some on the 1st tee at the moment, no one else was around waiting to go out. I was caught by surprise when he said we couldn't get out. It was about 3 o'clock on a wednesday. We went and talked in the parking lot for about 25 minutes to see if any other golfers showed up and no one did, so counter clerk did eventua…

Wonder little par 3. A bit challenging and simply beautiful. A totally fun course to play. Played today and the course is in wonderful condition. Don't end up in the rough, it's thick!

Golf course is meticulously maintained. A great course to learn and a great course to improve your short game. Courteous, helpful and professional staff. Golf pro Mike Papp is available for excellent instruction. I would encourage both beginners and experienced golfers to visit the course and play a round; I think you will enjoy the experience.
