In summary

Green Valley Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained and scenic 18-hole golf course, which offers a challenging layout and a variety of amenities, including a driving range, practice green, and a full-service clubhouse with a restaurant and bar. Many visitors appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the reasonable pricing for the golfing experience. However, some criticisms focus on issues with the restaurant's service and food quality during events, as well as occasional delays in play and concerns about customer service in the pro shop.

Highly recommend playing at Green Valley 18 hole golf course. It is well maintained and in great shape. I play a lot of golf and really enjoyed my first round at Green Valley! It was recommended to me by a friend so we stopped in after cancelling our tee times at 3 other courses to play here. Carts are available and players are allowed to walk. Had no delays playing and Pcr of play was perfect. They have full facilities club house, pro shop, restrooms, food and beverage cart that roams the course. Also a practice putting green and driving range which is hard to find in Rhode Island. Range ball…

We mostly go to the driving range and the putting area. No beginners allowed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Very pretty course.

My favorite golf course in the area! Miles better than Jamestown golf course in every measurable objective. The wait is always manageable, even in the summertime when the vast hoards of humanity descend upon Newport, and the rest of Aquidneck Island -- during this time, you can call for a time. Additionally, they have an incredible restaurant and bar, as opposed to the typical snack bars you'll encounter at most golf courses. The course itself is also gorgeous with a few bridges and scenic vista's. Finally, the course is pristine and meticulously maintained.

Online photos must’ve been taken 15 years ago. My family stopped by for 9 holes and some lunch with high interest in joining a club as we recently moved to Newport. First impression appears to be an abandoned building, we drove to the side to find that’s where people enter/exit from conveniently by the dumpsters. A lot of misplaced “junk” everywhere, not well kept at all, it had a awkward biker bar but wear your polo vibe. I am surprised it is considered a country club. Unsubscribe.

One of the most enjoyable golfing experiences in RI. A walkers delight, this championship layout has sufficient subtlety to make you want to return often. Practice green, driving range, above average restaurant/bar, and friendly staff will leave you thinking your green fee was too low. The overall experience has led me to return dozens of times over the past 17 years.

We played here yesterday …two foursomes with an afternoon tee time ….while on the tee at our designated tee time two foursomes with later tee times drove around us and skipped the first hole and went in front of us to the second hole….we called the pro shop and they told us this shouldn’t have happened but they would not send anyone out to remedy the situation….they had no starter or ranger in place …our round was 5 hours and 15 minutes and we waited behind two and sometimes three foursomes on nearly every hole….we were hit into by a single they allowed out behind us who just missed striking u…

Stuper fun course amazing staff fun pro level courses with long holes but I truly think it's one of the best courses in RI and I have played almost every single one of them . As far a service the staff make everything run smoothly and it's truly something to play here on a nice fall 68 degree day.

Good food at reasonable prices in a relaxed environment adjacent to their 18 hole golf course. Great 19th hole after spending time on the links, or just having a good meal. They also have facilities for large groups and special functions, a liquor license and adequate parking for a goodly amount of vehicles. Recommended.

One of the best courses around nice long holes mostly 4+5s it's fun beautiful and quiet and the staff are beyond amazing and keep everything beautiful and on par with any national course. Not too pricey as well!

I attended said Memorial stated above. The staff did an amazing job. Pricing, accommodations, etc., was all known upfront. I witnessed the “arguing”. The manager handled it extremely well. It’s a rough situation given high emotions due to it being a memorial. Understandably so. Yes, the food was finger food. However, this does not take away from how amazing their restaurant food is! Definitely quality food and worth the visit!

The golf course is beautiful, but I would never recommend the restaurant to anyone. I attended a memorial service for a pervious member of the course and was completely disappointed. The restaurant provided low quality finger sandwiches, salad, and a pasta salad, yet charged for a wedding event. The family was mourning the death of a family member and was completely taken advantage of. Should be a zero rating.
