In summary

Glen Oaks Country Club is appreciated for its beautiful design and challenging layout, with a friendly atmosphere and unique in-house brewed beers. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with fairways, greens, and tee boxes being in poor condition. While some enjoy the amenities and find the course enjoyable, others feel that the current state does not justify the cost of play.

$73 is absurd for this place. The greens keeping is awful. Greens have endless divots, tee boxes are pathetic, and fairways look terrible. Shame how poorly the course is kept. Complete rip off for the cost

Played April 22, 2022. From Cincy but always been intrigued by this course as you can see one or two holes from I71. Ok.. the good parts are.. It’s a beautiful design and layout. Very challenging and hilly. Lots of undulations on the greens. The kind of undulations that you have to play several times to score well. The course meanders through mostly expensive homes. There are homes along most of the course.. but plenty of space. The bad.. The fairways are chewed up. I thought it was some sort of aeration at first but the fairways are currently non existent. You either have bald spots or cr…

I can tell this course was once very nice. I found the holes to be varied (enough) and the clubhouse/pool/etc still present very well...but man were the fairways in rough shape. In some instances my ball in the dead center of fairway was sitting in dirt/no grass. Maybe it has to do with type of grass it is, as the rest of course was better.

Glen oaks has a fun and friendly atmosphere! I love coming here because their food is amazing with great prices PLUS the beers that the Oldham Brewing Company brew (IN HOUSE) are so unique! If you are ever bored just grab some friends and get a flight of beer! You can even enjoy your drinks outside around a fire! 10000% recommend this place!!! #trytheblondie

Lots of wear and tear, owners let this golf course go :(. So much potential. Unfortunately not the value $$ to the experience.

Payed 73 to play here at 3pm on a Saturday. Usually wouldnt be upset with that price at a decent course. However the course is in terrible shape- tee boxes torn to shreds, dead fairways, fringe is burnt and dead and is like straight dirt around the greens and some bunkers are just dirt. Hope they can get what used to be a decent course back to an acceptable standard. Shouldnt be paying 70 to play a course in worse shape than a municipal.

Tee to green very good shape. Couple tee boxes struggling but overall good shape. Fairways and greens are very good. Rough a little higher than past few years. Makes this course much tougher and hard to find your ball. Sand traps could use some care. Traps on hole number 3 are pretty much unplayable. Gas golf carts are decent but geared or governed so low they may not make it up the hill between 8 green and 9 tee box. Great challenging course. Good luck on #17.

I was a guest playing with a new member of this country club and after paying 80 dollars I was not happy with the experience that was given. Greens were in terrible condition with dead grass as the fringe and holes all over and Fairways weren’t much better either. We were also stuck behind foursome of teens that played extremely slow and wouldn’t let us play through even after asking they told us “someone was also ahead”. They had no organization with their carts the member I was with left his rangefinder in the cart and after 10 mins the cart was gone and no one could answer where it could ha…

This course used to be great. I am currently a member here at this course and every time I go thinking it will get better bf i only gets worse every time. I think this might actually be the worst course in all of Louisville. If you arnt a member you’ll be charged $60 to play here haha! I will no be a member much longer if this persists. Unfortunately I do not see current management taking any care of this place in the future.

Paid $70 for a a course that is in worse condition than some muni courses. Front 9 fairways were awful and the greens were in terrible shape. Back nine was looking better, but whoever is running this place has done a terrible job.

In general a fun course to play. The hot weather has taken its toll on areas around some of the greens and some of the tee boxes. This course has a lot of potential. Hope the owners are serious about improving the course.

It's not Valhalla, but it's a fun course reasonably priced. Priced. We paid $39 on a weekday. Not sure if that was still winter rate or not. And you get a complimentary beer with that. Greens were decent. Fairways were still dormant but I'm sure all that will pop with this warm weather we've been having. I'll be back.
