In summary

Foxfire Golf Club is appreciated for its challenging and enjoyable course layout, with many noting improvements in course conditions, particularly the greens and fairways. However, there are recurring concerns about the poor state of the cart paths and bunkers, as well as issues with pace of play and inconsistent staff interactions. Amenities such as the halfway house receive positive feedback, although some visitors express dissatisfaction with the lack of beverage services and communication from management.

Parking lot is gravel and holey. Most of the cart paths are in in desperate need of repair. Military discount was $5, just glad they offered one. The most important thing is the course smells like sewage for a majority of the holes. The half way house was amazing! They had all the toppings for a hot dog or sausage.

What a tough course. The cart paths were awful, but the course was nice. Leave your driver at home if you cant hit it straight.

Fair and fun test of golf. Challenging layout and overall good conditions. Carts were in good shape. Bunkers were in good condition and playable considering all the rain.

Rude staff right from the start. Woman at the front appeared to have a 65+ senior superiority complex with a distaste for people who are younger than 30. I organized a birthday golf outing for my boyfriend and upon arrival she set the tone of our conversation with outright disrespect and ultimately made the outing a disappointing experience. Course was nice, staff were awful. We will not be returning.

Love to play golf there! Barb is always a lot of fun at the halfway house and making the turn at nine! Played with my friend Seth Brown that help build the back nine years ago when he worked there!

Always been a fan of the layout of this course. The conditions were an issue for a little while but seem to be improving. The fairway bunkers throughout the course seem to be something they are not putting any effort into but the greenside bunkers appear to be getting fresh sand and care. Was happy with the course today I hope the effort continues because this is a fun course to play.... Update played 9/28/22.. place is in great shape.... Keep it up Foxfire.

Course is getting better by the week!! I've played a couple high end country clubs in C-BUS the last month and Fox fire is in just as good as shape. Hope they make it more expensive to keep the disrespectful weekend warriors out that don't repair ball marks for fix their divots. I'm sure they will use the extra $$ to continue to make the course better. They have also invested in course marshals to help pace of play. Each week it seems a new set of bunkers are getting updated with new sand. Cart paths are also a work in process, they are getting better by the week as well.

$60+ for this course is a joke. Torn up tee boxes and fairways with more hard pan than grass. The greens were rolling good and fast, but god forbid you have to chip green side…the edges of the green were tore up…all hard pan. Great, tough layout, but hard to believe a course can be in that bad of shape considering the $$$$ they made off selling land. Oh, and the “cart paths”…..better bring an off road vehicle and have your chiropractor on speed dial. The bunkers are in awful shape with little to no sand at all….some were just bare dirt. On a bright note, the halfway house is second to none.

Nice course not enough water fountains or drinks available once you leave the players club. No bathrooms literally anywhere to be found. Well kept course, terrible golf cart tracks. Pot holes everywhere

I would leave this place zero stars if I could. The staff was incredibly rude. Our round was four hours and we were told we were too slow. It seems like none of the staff communicates with each other. The cart path is awful. Spend your money elsewhere.

I'm somewhat new to the area and I guess it used to be in worse shape because it never got suggested to me. I had gotten sick of all the courses on the north side charging way too much for mediocre conditions so gave Foxfire a shot. Played it for the first time last year and liked it. Played it this year and loved it. The course conditions are fantastic. Some of the best public greens I've played here, clean fairways and it is a fun/challenging layout. Great halfway house on the way to 9 tee. Tremendous value, will be back many times.

3rd best course ive played this year in regards to "in shape". For the year we have had, its in great shape. Pace was great also. Course did raise the prices but its justifiable.
