In summary

Fire Ridge Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic views, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. The course features well-maintained greens and offers a variety of elevation changes that add to the playing experience. However, some players have expressed concerns about the condition of the cart paths and certain areas of the fairways, as well as navigation challenges for first-time visitors. Despite these issues, many find the course to be a good value and enjoy the overall atmosphere.

Great golf course!! If you like elevated tees and greens this is for you. Greens were very nice as well. It was my first time playing here and was one of my favorites.

I played there today. The cart path on the front 9 is new asphalt. The path on the back is not new but it wasn’t in bad shape. The coarse could use a good mowing though. Grass was long and thick in the rough. Fairways were long in spots. Not bad though. Greens were good, a little wet but nice. We used coupons from Group Golfer. And it was only $20. That was GREAT.

Beautiful, challenging course, with some great scenery!!! Was a little under maintained, likely due to such a wet spring, but enjoyed our round, and the scenery...

Good views and unique but the back 9 cart path could use some work greens were tough and your losing more balls then you find which sucks

It’s very pretty but almost impossible to play the blues unless you’ve been there before. We had no idea where the greens were on most of the holes. We gave up on the 13th as we had lost way to many balls and the fun had gone out of it. Wasn’t the friendliest course.

Very friendly staff and reasonable pricing. The course was in great shape. Tough course in regards to every shot on the fairway either being above or below your feet.

One of my son's favorite golf courses. More difficult than some, but fun. He golfs here every week with his High School team. The staff is courteous and helpful.

Only redeeming qualities were the greens rolled true, course is in bad shape. Tee's burnt out, fairways were crabgrass. Very quirky layout ,par 5s had to hit 7 iron off tee.says on website collared shirts but everyone had t-shirts on. Don't waste the drive.

As a local I am beyond grateful to have Fire Ridge in my backyard. Going there is like going to Grandpa's house. The staff treat you with respect and love the course. Its simple here, treat the course right, and it will reward you every time. Some of the holes are challenging especially #12 and #4. Don't forget to snag a scorecard especially if you play the back nine. Three holes on the back are across the street and over the hill and it is easy to get turned around. In 2024 they got a new guy running the maintenance, and since then, the drainage and grass has gotten a lot better. So thankful…

Great local course. We hold an outing each year. They are good to our organization and service is great! Course is well maintained most of the time.

Only good thing about this course was the views and unique layout other than that I would not recommend. When you spend more time looking for your balls than playing golf it gets very old. The reason I say this is there no distinction between the rough and the fairway. You could hit a perfectly good shot down what should be fairway and you can’t find it or take forever looking for it. Also, to be cart path only after rain I get but when you have nothing to protect because the whole course is rough than I don’t get it!?!? Won’t be back

Nice course overall. Only complaints are the cart paths pretty bad, most fairways were pretty good, but some had some crab grass.. overall not too bad. Greens were fast, but held approach shots pretty well. Very challenging as I am not used to playing courses with so much more slope. Had a lot of fun today. Fair prices and great friendly staff. Hope to play here again!
