In summary

Esmeralda Golf Course is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both beginners and seasoned golfers. The layout is noted for its strategic tree placements, providing a fun yet challenging experience. However, some visitors express frustration with the slow pace of play and closely scheduled tee times, which can lead to extended rounds and occasional customer service issues.

Played here quite a few times this summer and had an excellent experience every time. The course is always in great condition and the staff has always been friendly. The gentleman who is the Marshall in the mornings on weekends, is always courteous and not pushy like some muni’s in the area can be. I love this course

Greens are always excellent. It is known as a beginner course but it is not as easy as they say. Pace of play can require patience at times but overall it is worth it. Recommend

Course is well taken care of, that’s it, that’s all that’s good about this course. Tee times are every 6 minutes, so you hit and wait 15 minutes, pace of play is so bad it’s comical, 5 hour rounds. Then to have a Marshall tell you sorry about the long waits then say I’m going to need you to pick it up in the same breath… sure you want me to pick it up? I’ll start hitting it into everyone in front of me then… absolute joke. I’m done playing Esmeralda until they start staggering tee times every 10 minutes at least.

This course is clean well kept with nice little dog legs and a challenging steep climb to a par 3 on Hole 12. Not a lot of hazards but trees can definitely get you. Other than the long waits, it is definitely fun but be ready to play for 5 hours on a weekend and wait a lot.

This is a fantastic golf course, well kept and managed. The grass and greens are always looking great. I love the clubhouse friendly staff with pretty dang good food too. Check it out, well worth a day out here golfing, we rented the golf scooter carts which were a ton of fun.

This course has the worse customer service of all the Spokane city courses. The pro shop is rude. The starters start by telling you to keep up with group in front of or pick up your ball before you even begin your round. And they expect the round to be 4 hours. Yet it took over 5 hours to play with the Marshall not doing a thing about it. Many groups were over a hole behind. In addition, we made 2 tee times and only had 7 show up and they charged us for the no show. We and our friends are taking our business to the other courses.

Sometimes referred to as Easy Ezzy, this course can be easy with good tee shots. If you end up pinballing around in the oaks, maples, and pines it can humble you really fast. A lot of play on this course happens from the wrong fairway, so watch your top knot. If you hear someone yell fore, believe it and cover. The city courses here are well cared for and fun to play. The discount card is the way to go if you play a bunch.

This course is in fantastic shape! From the fairways to the greens they are perfect, you couldn't ask for better conditions. Today I was able to score a Hole in One on #12 using a gap wedge. Luckily, Les, the course marshall heard the commotion and came over. He very kindly took pictures of this and sent them to me. Come play this course, you won't regret it. It is not Easy Essie anymore and will get even harder next year.

Been playing here for over 30 years. Have always loved this course. Unfortunately they are now running 7 minute tee times. 5 hours is the new norm. Marshalls on the course, but they don’t do anything. If you love a Long and leisurely round, this is the course for you
