This was me first time trying to learn how to golf. My family is very into golf! They have been playing down river for over 45 year's. My mom Karen is part of the ladies league and my dad Gary, well he was a baby on this course and his house were he grew up is only 4 blocks away. They know everyone down at this course. I'm mean just ask the people there! They can play this course in their 😴😴💤💤. They love it so much. You will probably see them there!

Played a consistent pace right at 4 hours and marshals were hounding us the whole time. They were very rude about trying to move faster even though the people behind were not playing on our heels. T boxes were not great. If you want a place to enjoy the round and not be hounded don’t recommend. By looking at other reviews looks like the Marshals need to figure out how to do their job better. Talked to the manager and he didn’t seem to care. Probably won’t play here again.

First the good. The course was in nice shape, the location is lovely, the terrain and holes are interesting, the price is reasonable. Lots of potential here for a really fun day of golf. But... the pace of play was SLLOOOWWWW. There were sometimes five groups stacked up at par 3's. There was no marshal or course staff to be seen to help keep things moving. The group directly in front of us was especially slow because "we are playing for money" so took their time with every shot... every putt.... you'd have thought I was watching the US Open play out in front of me. I'd pay the bets off if it…

It is one of the oldest courses in Spokane. A good one to play on a hotter day as the river makes it feel a little cooler. Don't be afraid of the parking lot on 18, go at it, that hill in front of it can be your friend. It's harder than Esmerelda, but I feel it's easier than Qualchan and Indian Canyon. (The other Spokane public city courses) The city does a good job with its courses, and I am happy to have such great golf here in my hometown. The only hard part is picking a course.

This is a nice golf course and is currently in great condition. Some challenging holes, but not so many as to take the fun out of play. The multi-level green on #15 is not to be missed. But......... There is a large cadre of regular players who monopolize morning tee-times. Slots are hard to come by, except before 7:00 am. If you get one, be prepared to play at 4-hour pace or better (for 18) or you WILL get "counseled" by the marshals or even the Pro. We were on a 4:30 pace with 2 holes to play and were required to skip #17 to make way for the "whales". Really ruined an otherwise enjoyable day…

If you have ever wanted to play golf in a living postcard, Downriver Golf Course in Spokane is your spot. Towering Ponderosa pines line the fairways like quiet spectators, watching you with both admiration and judgment. The fairways are gorgeous and inviting, but if your ball drifts into those trees, kiss it goodbye. Those woods do not forgive, and they do not forget. Once you are in there, you better bring a machete and a plan. The course layout will test you. There are some dogleg holes that feel like they were designed by a retired Navy pilot with a grudge. Just when you think you know whe…

One of the best courses around! Super nice greens and friendly staff. I will always set aside time to play a round if I'm in town!

What a beautiful day to play my first round of golf for the season! We called in for a tee time this morning and were able to get on at 2:40. The course was pretty busy but we had a great time. Originally we paid to play 18 holes but needed to stop at 9, they gladly gave us a rain check for the back 9 another day. (I also forgot my putter at home so they were kind enough to let me take a demo putter out) We will definitely be back as this is one of our favorite courses. 🤘

Downriver is my favorite course in Spokane. It’s next to Spokane River and affords beautiful views and is well maintained. The course offers many challenging holes and a variety of terrain. As a public course it’s affordable and easy to get a tee time.

The marshals kept rushing us and telling us to speed it up to a point that we had to skip a hole entirely. We ended up finishing 18 holes in 3 hours 45 minutes. Definitely not worth the money

Sweet course elevated tee boxes Tree lined but cleaned beneath them so you can find your ball if you stray from the fairway. It's called Downriver golf course but you will find no water on it.

Honestly its a great course. My problem is the management. The Marshall is rude in general. However, most recently i was at the driving range with my kids. It was a little after 5:00 when we arrived. I bought a couple buckets which they gladly sold me. Other golfers were on the range as well. A little ways into our bu ket one of the pros pulled up and told us we had to leave because they close at 5:30. I asked him why he would sell 2 large buckets if he knew they were closing in 20 mins. He didnt have an answer and just said we had to leave. The management of the course sucks.
