I'm only reviewing the sporting clays and the dinner.... The clay throwers broke a lot of clays, they didn't charge me for it, but it was pretty sad. They did come and fix several throwers that wouldn't operate at all, but for the price, I'm sorry, I feel like that's something you shouldn't have to deal with. The bar food.... Well a medium rare burger wasn't anywhere near medium or rare. Like it was cardboard. They opened a bottle of tea, the kind you buy at Walmart, and poured it in our glasses. And then charged us $3 for each glass. I'm not trying to bash the place, everyone was helpful. But…

I was lucky enough to have a buddy whose Dad was a member at Dismal River and went back in 2023. The staff was incredible and accommodating to all of our needs. The lodging set up is awesome. We stayed in a 4 bedroom lodge each with individual rooms and bathrooms. The golf was incredible one day fee to play as much as you want was incredible for that condition of courses. I prefer the Red Course, probably because I played better on that course but the White course is great as well. The only negatives I have is could use one more restaurant on property and the pool could be better. But you are…

I had the privilege of playing both the Red and White golf courses at Dismal River, and I was thoroughly impressed with the excellent condition of both. The Red course, in particular, stood out with its fescue grass, which was reminiscent of a lush carpet. The beautiful, fast, and true rolling greens added to the overall experience. While both courses feature blind shots, navigating the terrain became significantly easier after the second round. The picturesque landscape, characterized by an expansive sky and serene atmosphere, is truly breathtaking. The Restaurant also deserves praise for its…

Planned on spending 4 days up here with a few of my guests. I have been a member for 4 years, but have been going up 6 years. We drive from Tulsa (10 hrs), and have been going there 2-3 times a year. I always tell people how it’s worth the 20hr round trip. Last year, I said if conditioning continues to deteriorate, I would discontinue my trips. Sadly, they have completely lost all 36 greens. I was so bummed. My guests were completely in shock. 10 hour drive for absolute garbage conditions. Would have been nice to have been forewarned before wasting a trip. Fortunately, Prairie Club up the road…

I’m reading all these excellent reviews about the golf and food. What you don’t hear about is how the Management and Ownership fail to pay their bills to the vendors that pour their hard work and skills into keeping this place open and safe. Please consider this when choosing your golf venue. The way management treats their employees and vendors is a solid look into the soul of the company. Shame on Dismal River and its ownership!

Our large group (28) had a great experience at this stay-and-play. The accommodations on-site are quite nice and the courses were in great shape.

Awesome golf courses! Course has had some weather damage but is coming back nicely. One of my favorite places to play! Food is delicious too with a great menu. Great staff too!

Love the Dismal River Club. Just keeps getting better and better as well! Amazing food, lodging, facilities and service. Great place for family fun and adult fun. Golf, guns, pools, games, activities, etc. With the new workout room and spa facilities it's everything you want. First class everything.

For a unique, fun, and unpretentious golf experience, this place is a must. Don't let the travel deter you. In fact, it's part of the experience. Play both courses, you don't have to choose one over the other. The staff takes great care of you, and the camaraderie with other guests at the enormous outdoor fire pit is a great way to end the day.

Course is pretty cool looking but slowest greens I’ve ever played on to the point that it was pretty much unplayable as a golf course. The main issue is they took a “refundable deposit” upfront and then asked us to pay in full while we were there and they would refund the deposit. Deposit was never refunded and they are giving us the run around. Basically double charged us and were extremely shady about doing so. Go to Prairie Club, down the road. Better courses, better atmosphere, better organized, better playing conditions. It’s not even close. I wouldn’t return to Dismal even if the trip w…

After one visit my experience was so good that I invested in the acquisition of the club with the goal of adding world class hunting and shooting experience to the two world class golf courses we currently have! In addition were have stocked fishing ponds and many fun family events available! We are currently taking applications for a few new corporate members. We have wonderful accommodations and meeting facilities that accommodate up to 200 guests and master chief to top off the experience right!

Simply amazing. Even for the hack of a golfer like me, the white course designed by Jack Nicklaus is just a feast for your eyes. A course like this gives you great appreciation for PGA level courses and the multiple elevations they contend with. Loved it.
