In summary

Iron Eagle Municipal Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens and fairways, friendly and accommodating staff, and affordable rates. The course layout is noted for its challenging design, particularly the narrow and demanding front nine, which contrasts with the more open back nine. While some visitors mention minor maintenance issues like scattered brown patches and worn cart paths due to past flooding, the overall experience is considered enjoyable and worthwhile.

Please excuse my non golf attire. I was just looking to run around with a couple clubs as a travel break on my way to Colorado. Turns out I wished I had brought all of my clubs and some friends. I only played one of the nines but dang it was a lot of fun! Hope to get back and finish playing. Absolute gem of a place!

A hidden gem! Discovered it was right out the door from the motel (Comfort Inn & Suites) I had booked while traveling. Course was in excellent condition and the guy in the pro shop was super nice and friendly. Hard pressed to find a better course for the money (very reasonable rates) and their drinks were also inexpensive. Course yardage is a little on the short side but you better hit it straight on the front 9. I would definitely play it again.

This is a jewel of a golf course right off of I-80. It is a challenging course with a lot of shot shaping needed. The greens are fast and roll perfect. The staff is very accommodating. I would certainly recommend stopping and playing here if you can.

Chutes! Driving by and saw from the road, tried this from the tips and was having a tough time, this is a fun course but the front is one of the tightest courses I've ever played. A few tee shots on the front really require you to hit a spot to get it out of the chute and then really control your ball flight to keep it in play. Back opens up a lot. Reasonably priced, was in decent shape w/a few scattered brown patches in late August. Fine for a muni, would play again.

Cart paths are kinda sloppy but its been flooded several times in recent years so they're pretty good all things considered. The service in the clubhouse was fantastic. All in all a nice course.

Course is in beautiful shape. Front nine is very narrow but it makes for a good challenge before the much more open back nine.
