In summary

Diamondback Golf Club is frequently praised for its stunning layout, well-maintained course conditions, and friendly, professional staff. Many visitors highlight the excellent practice facilities and the overall value for money. However, some golfers have noted issues with slow pace of play and occasional staff rudeness, which can detract from the experience. Despite these concerns, the course remains a popular choice for its challenging design and beautiful setting.

I had the opportunity to play this stunning course, which truly stands out as a remarkable layout. The two gentlemen I played with were exceptionally courteous and provided valuable insights on strategic play. The check-in staff was welcoming and efficient. Despite facing winds exceeding 20 mph, which added a layer of challenge, the experience remained thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend this course to out-of-town visitors seeking a memorable golfing experience.

Played here July 31. Course is in excellent condition. The range is a real pleasure to hit balls. The grass here is plush and green. No need for a tee on par 3’s the ball sits up nicely. Greens are good would be nice if people could fix their ball marks. The carts are in great shape. Couple of the bridges could use replacing. Other than that I would have to say this is in my top 5 public courses in Texas that I have personally played.

Awesome course with a ton of cool holes. Everything was in pristine condition and the pricing isn’t outrageous for what you’re getting. Got a little slow and backed up probably due to the tee times being pretty close together but if you’re not super worried about time it’s the best course in Abilene by a mile.

I missed the left turn into Diamondback, GPS was a little bit confused. I booked at 350p tee time on Friday and drove from Weatherford after work. The gentlemen in the Pro Shop got me setup and I got started a little early. The course was awesome. Great layout, challenging, greens were good. Overall 10/10 experience here at Diamondback National. They even let me walk an additional nine holes. No beverage cart, but I always bring my own powerade and water. It was very peaceful to take in the views and play a little golf. Come play Diamondback National!

Beautiful course, very green. Fairways in great shape. Greens good except for golfers not repairing divots.

Great experience for my first time playing Live Oak Golf Club. Everyone was professional and friendly except for the Bobcat on #17. We should not have hit our ball into his den.

Amazing layout; elevated tees, hills, turtle back greens, mesquite lined fairways, gullys protecting greens. Reminds me of Fazio foothills at Barton Creek. What a nice surprise in Abilene

Well maintained. Large driving range with club cleaners. Greens were in excellent shape and quite fast. Worth the time and money.

First time playing here. Would recommend. Minimal interaction with the staff but they were friendly. Golf courses all assume you’ve been there before so no one is really offering unsolicited advice. Just speak up and ask. Range was busy prior to the tee time but easy to get in and out. Can’t wait to go back

$90 for a weekday round for one golfer is absurd. They charged my 10y/o boy with DS to ride along and the guy at the counter was not pleasant. I will not return the this over priced place. As far as the course, it was in fairly decent shape, beautiful fairways, and difficult greens…course is 3.8 stars.

First off, the staff were extremely welcoming and professional. Very busy Saturday, pace of play was fine. Noticed the Marshall out a a few times making sure everyone was staying up with their times. Beverage cart was seen multiple times, which was great. All in all, great value for the money, will return soon.

Great golf course. First time playing here and enjoyed it very much. The pro shop staff were very friendly at check in and I also got help loading my bag! They even made sure I had waters for my round. Awesome experience and can’t wait to go back and play it again!
