40 bucks on a Monday to play this? It's hot garbage. I think it would be fair to say that 70 percent of this course is packed dirt, and that very little effort is put in to taking care of anything here. It's the junkyard of golf courses. Just turn it into an offroad park. It's 90 percent of the way there.

OK as far as campsites go, gravel/grass/trees, table, group fire ring. Restrooms would be for me, used only in a very dire emergency, no shower. History of Amphitheatre was interesting. Lake was a long hike away, did not venture to see it. The check-in for the campsite was a mile (ish) down the road with not wonderful signage. This campground accepted cash only for site rental. Adequate for an overnight stay if you're self contained.

Sub-par course with minimal effort put into the upkeep of the course. The front desk folks are nice and helpfull but beyond that it is a miserable experience. 1st time at this course "Rusty" accosted our group because he wasn't happy with us playing together. When my husband asked for clarification he got snippy and curt. Shook it off and thought well, it's cheap and everyone has a bad day. The next visit we were playing close to another group with no real issues. The other group yelled "fore", and my son-in-law gave them a thumbs up to acknowledge we had heard. Well, here comes Rusty. Yelling…

I play here twice a week, and I agree that in dry conditions is rough to play on...this year the fairways are very green, and it's beautiful! The people who run this course are very nice , no one has ever been rude to me ,they are very nice down to earth people and the view's are amazing...oh and it's a challenging course !

Nice quite place, there's some mesquite trees for shade. Reasonable price. You have to pay at the golf club office. Electric and water at the site, not sure on the sewer drop. They may have one. Somewhere. I could see spending a couple of days there. It's Reasonably kept up. Not a.resort setting. A little rugged in a nice way.

We have been here 3 time in the past 3 weekends. We have 3 kids, 2 plays and 1 who keeps score (do to being injured he cant play). It's a great place to take the kids and just go relax and have a great time. The owners have never been remotely rude. They are very pleasant people. They will help you any way they can. As for the course it's wonderful. They are always making impovments. I love how you have to shoot across the lake or up a large hill. We always have a blast. Very kid friendly. Thank you for letting us come and play.

It’s been 8 years since I played here until this year. The fairways were great new carts greens were not best yet but rolled good was a blast play twice with family. Can’t wait for the future improvements they make. But a few sand pits would be good here to. Lots of room for long drivers like me

The worst golf course I have ever played. The fairways are literally just dirt…. I’m serious. No grass on fairways, no weeds, just dirt and rocks. Do not come here.

Not impressed with the rude people running the course. We were told we are taking to long to play we need to pick up our pace. We had 4 people 2 carts 2 people are newbies .we were enjoying ourselves and not in any hurry. Helping out the newer players with the basics The people who run the place approached us with a sour attitude telling us in rude tone we have people waiting on carts. Paid for 18 and a cart. Got my money back and left. I play golf to relax and enjoy the time with my family who needs to be rushed. Even drove from Abilene to play. Not trying to be rude and out of place but that…

I play here all the time. But it does not get well taken care of. I will say the owner is not the nicest person in the world but I also know he does everything he can to make this course as good as you can it’s just never going to be a great course again unless somebody put a lot of money into it.
