DeSoto Golf Course

Then just another memorable experience at Hot Springs village, this time playing DeSoto golf course. Wonderful facility, friendly staff and well organized. We put new screws and nuts in here got paired up with three locals and it was a great way to meet some other friendly golfers at new the course to show me around. A lot of rain the previous week made some areas still a little mushy with mud some of the grass have been tore away from the ground. Greens ran true and smooth fairways were in great condition. Everything was fine until I met Cindy in the pro shop. She’s in the wrong job. I felt like I was checking into Alcatraz instead of getting ready to enjoy my day, playing golf with my son. I feel sorry for everyone who works with her and all the future guests who have to deal with her. I won’t be one of them. It doesn’t matter how nice your golf course is if your staff graduated from rude school with honors.

Due to work on irrigation the fairways were in horrible shape. We suffered thru a 5:10 round following 3 men that were not old nor handicap just slow. Complained to the pro shop but they did nothing to help speed the 3 some along. Will not play here again, too many better options.

If you haven't eaten here lately, you are really missing out. We are trying everything on the menu and so far, it has been spectacular - both the food and the service. You may need to make reservations

I was just visiting for future reference. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to playing DeSoto soon.

Dinner was delicious! DeSoto has the best fried catfish in the village!

Have played here each year the last 4 years with my son. The course is beautiful, playable, and the greens are fast! Staff is kid friendly and we appreciate the kids' teeing area in the fairways. Great experience

The golf course itself was beautiful. Cindy in the pro shop was not very polite. Took “ too long” to play the front 9, and there’s people out here that are actually good and we need to stay out of their way. Which we don’t mind one bit letting people play through!

This golf course is very beautiful and well-maintained I had a great time playing here I will recommend all my friends to come and play at Desoto YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT 😁

Stay away, guests not welcomed. In town for the week from WI. On 3-27-24 stopped in to make a reservation for 3-28. Marie set us up for 11:48 on 3-28-24. Arrived 3-28 at 11am and received a cold welcome from Rich. Who could not find out tee Time in the system and looked at us like we were inconveniencing him. No apology or anything like that and then Rich says he could get us off at 12:44 which we agreed to. Then he says we can get off asap and we need to hurry and get our carts clubs and tee off. Celebrated a bachelor party here and the Club couldn’t have been more accommodating! 12 guys had a great time and were all impressed by the course’s beauty and challenge. The food and drinks were wonderful too!
