In summary

Cortez Golf Course is frequently praised for its beautiful natural setting, well-maintained fairways, and challenging layout that requires strategic play, with wide fairways and several blind shots and doglegs. The staff is generally described as friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. While the course is not particularly long, some guests mention that the guest green fees are higher than expected, and there has been an isolated complaint about staff rudeness.

Nice course that feels more natural than most others. It feels like they used the lay of the land and designed golf holes around the natural terrain. Holes don't feel manufactured or man made. Slopes and creeks seem to be natural features of the area. Some tee shots need driven up to examine the landing area to see the layout of the hole before hitting. Several dog leg holes that merit an early exam of where to hit your tee ball. Course isn't long and greens are fairly large and nice bent grass. Not as many scenic vistas as some nearby courses, but a well maintained and fun course. I'd gladly…

I’ve played 8/9 of the Village courses over the last 5 years or so, and Cortez might be my favorite. Not long by any means but makes you hit shots / think on nearly every par 4. Course was in great shape. They had recently aerated the greens so they were slower than usual but still rolled true. Go check it out!

Great experience from start to finish. All staff were friendly. Reasonable price as a guest. Medium sized driving range. Large putting green. Got paired with 3 local regulars, very nice guys. Trees and water make it a scenic course. Tee boxes and fairways in very nice shape. Greens ran true and smooth. Good sized pro shop and restaurant. Definitely recommend Cortez.

One of the most beautiful and definitely a most difficult course in Hot Springs Village. It will certainly challenge you, yet you will leave wanting to return and conquer! (*_*) Loved every minute of it!!

Every time I go here there is nothing but disrespect!! They have a guy out on the corse watching all the time that is constantly up your ass, the guy in the club house was nothing but rude once again all because he got confused on what I was telling him. Today was the last time I go here!!

The course was absolutely gorgeous and very well taken care of. Not only was the lady in the pro shop very nice, but she also put me on the back nine when playing 9 because I had never been there and it was much more scenic. The course was absolutely gorgeous, divots filled, bunkers raked and the greens rolled with pace. I will definitely be returning to this wonderful course

Nice track with several memorable holes. The course forced you to use most of the clubs in your bag and some imagination at times. Not real long. Greens were in good shape with just the right amount of firmness. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

It was the first time I'd played in 2 years. Our church played a scramble. I had a lot of fun!
