Desert Canyon Golf Course

Very well kept course with an even better staff and food. A hidden gem in southern Idaho. The Philly cheesesteak is primo, you’ll get a nice surprise of smokiness which adds a unique twist to the classic. Lastly, the tater tots are 10/10 fantastic.

Desert Canyon Golf Course and Birdies Bar & Grill blew us away from start to finish. The course was in outstanding condition with gorgeous views on every hole — truly a gem. But the real highlight of our day was Jessie. She was our host and bartender throughout the entire round, and she was phenomenal. Just wanted to come on here and counter the bad reviews from a couple months ago and reassure people that this is a fun course in great shape. We came from Boise and played Oct 12 and the greens and course are well maintained and we had a great experience. We couldn't see any evidence of greens under repair from earlier this summer.

We had our granddaughter's XC tournament there.

The front 9 was in great shape. The back 9 was under repair with 4 or more temporary greens cut into the fairway. It would be nice if someone shared this with me when booking a tee time. We drove in from Boise and could have waited until the greens were back to normal.

My husband and I had a great time, Jim golfed with Rick and Jay while I rode along and took pictures. Your course is a gem!!

Course is in bad shape the greens are craters and the tee boxes are slush. The food and people in the pro shop are amazing but the people running the greens crew just sit around on the course.

Worst greens I’ve played all year. Which is sad because the course itself could be amazing but needs lots of TLC. Tee boxes were in ok shape, not great though. Fairways were decent, some dead spots. If the course was in better conditions, it could easily be a 4 or 5 star course.

What a fun course! Fairways and greens were in great shape, the front nine was nice and shady, and then there's the back nine... some challenging shots over the (small) canyon, elevation changes, interesting greens. A pretty fair test. All the golfers were friendly, staff was helpful and the price was reasonable. We'll be back again!

The most important part of a golf course are the greens and desert canyon falls woefully short. No consistency in speed from hole to hole. Ball bounces on the way to the cup. Might need to change superintendent if problem isn’t solved.
