I think this may be considered one of the signature golf courses among the Kentucky state park golf system. I was blown away! Zoyzia fairways with bent grass greens, interesting holes and beautiful scenery everywhere. Don't be surprised to see wildlife walking across the fairway. And you won't see many homes along the fairways. Play this course twice during my stay in the area and would love to return and play it again. It's a long drive from texas though!

First time playing here, and it’s incredible. It’s in great shape and all holes are super unique and beautiful. Lots of elevation changes and you have to adjust your shots accordingly. New Georgia sand in all bunkers. This course was a 10/10 and well worth the $55 greens fee. Staff at the clubhouse was super accommodating and friendly. If you’re visiting Dale Hollow lake and love golf like I do, don’t miss out on playing this course. 💯

This is one of the top public courses in the state and a hidden gem. Beautiful manicured fairways and perfect greens. Stimp green speed probably around 10.5 most of the time, so not super fast. Play the tees that match your ability with 5 to choose from and the fairways are pretty wide where you drive. A few holes to pick from that could be signature holes including 1 that drops over 100' and plays around 160 yards downhill. Excellent service and staff. Pro shop isn't huge but has everything you'll need. If you're on the lake, you can bring clubs on your boat and they'll pick you up from the S…

Update for October 2025. Course was in GREAT shape this visit. Fairways were full, green and ripe for the picking. The greens were solid. Great spin, putted true and speed was about a 7. A little slow, but still quick enough to putt and not hammer. The fall foliage was amazing. I was very pleased this trip. Spring 2024. Disappointing. This once great course is now declining. The fairways have soft spots in various locations which plug and cover balls. The greens are inconsistent. There was water on hole 6 which comes from a fountain and still tastes stale. The coolers were empty by 1400 ( 2 p…

9/14/25 I live near Mineral Mounds, KY Dam and Boots Randolph state park courses. I have also played 3 other KY state park courses. Even though these are great courses Dale Hollow is definitely the best KY park course I've ever played. The Layout was spectacular, fairways were like playing on turf and the greens rolled true, as they should at a nice course. At the time it was ranked #10 in the state but I would say it's probably more like top 5. I played the #2 course in TN last year which is "Stonehenge" at Crossville and it don't compare to this course. I can't wait to return. By the way the…

Great golf course. Layout is outstanding, with the rolling hills. Greens are fast and in good condition. Fairways well maintained, and nice. One of our favorite course on our 6 week golf challenge.

Great golf course! So good you are willing to spend an entire weekend there just playing that course versus playing other courses in the area.

We had been waiting with great anticipation to play this course because almost all my golf acquaintances had played it. First, it’s beautiful. Played middle to late October 2023 and the Fall colors make it picturesque. Second, we played the #3 tees mainly because we had a guy in our group who was not a long hitter off the tees. Having done that it takes the driver out of your hands in a lot of the holes. Hole #1, 6 iron off the tee with only 69 yards to play. If you’re a 240-260 yd driver then a lot of holes have hazards in play. Third, there was a slow group in front of us. The rangers NEV…

Wonderful course in the hills of KY. I had called for a tee time but got the time wrong. It was only my Grandson and me. They we busy but not much that we were able to get a round in. Great staff in the club house and on the course. Now that we live about an hour away. We will be back.

This is a hidden gem. I was in Nashville for a family reunion and went looking for a top rated golf course and ran across this one. You know us golfers happy to "drive" a good distance to find a good course. I will say be careful coming from Nashville as some of those smaller towns, as they have those guys with the red and blue lights looking for you. Those speed limits drop fast. The Dale Hollow golf course is so beautiful. Lots of elevation changes. The course was really well maintained. Saw a good amount of wild life out there, including wild turkeys. The staff were really nice. Told em I w…

Beautiful and challenging golf course. Well maintained. Fairways, sand traps, and greens are in great shape. Tee boxes and fairw8were like a lush carpet. The greens have slope and could be very difficult fast but not cut to short to keep them playable.

Have golfed all over the country and this course is definitely in my top 5 favorite courses. Love the sand they use and appreciate how pristine the staff keep this course. The scenery is a plus. Great experience.
