In summary

Clover Valley Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic layout and friendly staff, offering a challenging course design that appeals to various skill levels. However, many visitors express disappointment with the course's maintenance, citing issues with tee boxes, fairways, and particularly the bunkers, which are often described as poorly maintained. While some improvements have been noted, the overall condition is frequently seen as not meeting the expectations set by its pricing.

Glade I ignored the reviews. Course looks really good, and comparing to what I was reading, has come a very long way. It's also more challenging than say, Willow Run. Main complaint that I have are the fairways are still a little too damp and the ball basically just implants itself as soon as it lands on some, and others very little bounce. However, most of the fairways are now lush and the greens are in good condition. You can tell they are in the process getting rid of some bunkers, but there are some that are still there, and they might as well not be as they are near cement hard. But, its…

The course management here is definitely the worst I’ve seen in Ohio. Almost every tee box is almost 50% dirt and mud. Huge spots of grass missing in many fairways and even greens. And some of the bunkers look like they haven’t had sand added to them in YEARS. Entirely filled dirt and rocks. Really disappointing because the layout of the course is actually exceptional. The only saving grace is they did have a good hotdog at the turn, and all the staff we spoke to was nice and friendly. If the course was in order would’ve been an easy 5 stars.

If this course was a person it would be in hospice care. And you cannot say that it is early in the season as I've already played Kyber Run, Denison (👍👍), and Columbus Metro Courses Blacklick and Raymond (👍) and all are in a far far better maintained condition. I've played this course since the 1990s and it was one of my favorites with great views, well maintained fairways, immaculate greens, and with sand in the traps. In the last several years under new ownership it has suffered greatly. It has been YEARS since anything was done with the traps (pictures posted, and sadly not the worst lookin…

Cannot recommend, the bunkers are unplayable, the tees and greens are also in rough shape. The staff was nice, but the course has gone to seed.

Incredibly disappointed with course conditions and upkeep. Don’t come here unless you hear they are doing major work. Weeds and patchy grass all over the course and diseased greens. I wouldn’t write a review but really felt duped when paying $65. It was also strange that the pro shop wouldn’t honor the current “on demand rate” of $55 and said guests have to book the tee time instead of Kemper Pass holders. Good course design and layout but unfortunately is neglected across the board.

As most other reviews pointed out, the fairways have been chewed up and spit out, the tee boxes are nothing but dirt with patches of burnt grass, and the bunkers are barely maintained if at all. I see they keep responding about their challenges, but somethings literally take zero effort. First, put water in the damn ball washers. Second, put some coolers out on the course. No cart person and 100 degree heat index is bad enough as it is. Help your players out. The bunkers are fried dirt. This has nothing to do with irrigation but a pure lack of caring. And lastly, stop charging premium prices f…

Fairways burnt. Tees not much grass. Wonderful bartender resigned. Greens are mostly good. Sand piles washing away in parking lot. No sand/seed mixture filled in golf carts. Overpriced for the condition. Sad to see a great course no longer great. It was once nicknamed the Baby Longaberger. Owned by a developer now. Just imagine how well they will build your home.

It’s a shame what happened to this course. The company that owns them now New Era is in the con business. The course in the past was so well taken care of and was nicely manicured from tee to green. Now all the bunkers have turned into mud pits and half of them have standing water with tadpoles swimming around in them. The tee boxes and fairways are shaggy or unevenly cut. The greens use to consistently roll at 10-11 now maybe 8-9 with a choppy cut on them and way too many ball marks. Played at this course 4-5 times last year in summer and what a shame to what it has become. New era golf and t…

This place is so atheistic and beautiful. Top notch greens! The service at the bar is wonderful! The nice lady working the bar deserves a raise! So sweet and kind! She made my day!

What a great course. It was refreshing to not be in a development and to enjoy nature while playing. The carts were great as well and they have a huge driving range.

Use to be my top 3 favorite course 2 years ago. New owners don’t seem to put much money into their courses and still charge an arm and a leg on weekends. Just played in the US Open scramble. Buddy won longest put. They gave him a 25$ gift card that he had to use in the clubhouse that day. Wow he was able to get a pair of socks and a sleeve of balls. $340 a team. Fairways were decent, but not where they used to be and same for the tee boxes. Not a grain of sand to be found in the bunkers. Bunkers looking like a land fill. It’s a shame. Hoping it turns around.

Def improved from reviews from June/July but still obvious scars from summer. Course played fairly with well Watered fairways, aprons & greens. Bunkers are rough but I never played out of one. Tee boxes were often improvised to new locations with lots of crabgrass. A little overpriced for the value received since we walked but riders may see it differently. All in all, the course is well Designed offering a fair challenge to all Skill levels. Course quality is improving and will be fun to play in October.
