In summary

Blackstone National Golf Club is appreciated for its picturesque New England setting, challenging course layout, and friendly staff. The venue, including the wedding barn, is well-regarded for events. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the pace of play, cart restrictions, and inconsistent course conditions, particularly regarding the greens and tee boxes.

The tee boxes were in very rough shape. Pace of play was awful, they sent us out on the 10th hole and after we made the turn to play on the front nine everything came to a screeching halt, having to wait on every shot when you had a 7am tee time is unacceptable. $115 green fee I would expect more from Blackstone National. The course itself is a tough track to play and very pinpoint on some holes, not for a beginner golfer.

The course has made an incredible turnaround this year after suffering from the drought two years ago. Course is in great shape and the club added state of the art GPS in new carts. Be aware to not venture off into off limit parts or it will shutdown on you and the only option is reverse. While it can be an inconvenience it keeps those who ignore signs and instructions on the straight and narrow. The wedding barn has given the group the ability to put money into the course. Speaking of which, the barn itself is perfect venue with a great view for weddings and outings.

Overall, a disappointing experience, and I'm embarrassed to have paid $90 to play here. First, the starter gave us 3 requests: stay hydrated, maintain pace of play, and take care of the course. That's hard to do when there are no water coolers, the cart can only be used on some holes and even then not for the final 100+yds, and there is no divot mix on the par 3s. Makes it tough to handle those 3 requests. 90+ degrees, and no water coolers on the course. You can buy water at the turn or from two locations where the cart girl parks. For the money, it's ridiculous to not include even water coo…

The course was in great condition considering the multiple inches or rain they got the night before. The Barn is a great place to have an event and the staff were super friendly.

Played there first time my group very dispointed. Staffs(pro shop and starter) were unprofessional and course condition is poor. For $95 is not worth it. My group agree the course layout is excellent.

Played the course a couple weeks ago. Nice course. Good conditions for early season. My only issue was the "smart" carts. They constantly disabled due to being in a restricted area. The problem is this happened on the cart paths, on the fairway 40 yards short of the signs directing carts off the fairway and random places in the rough. Very annoying. The course should reprogram the carts to more accurately define the restricted areas.

A picturesque setting and a great golf course. I always enjoy playing here. The deck at Blackstone Grille is a nice place to relax after golf and enjoy the pretty views along with delicious food and drinks.

The Barn is beautiful. My first time there. Great place for smallish events. Thanks for having The Witches of Sutton be a part of your Halloween party!

Played here as a foursome on a weekend in July 2025- the course is very well maintained and challenging, though what killed us with the pace of play. Took us nearly 5 1/2 hours to finish our round of 18. I suspect part of their issue was how finicky the electric golf carts were- there were so many areas that are not intuitively out of bounds for the carts that we were only aware of and notified about once after we got into those areas and had to back out. The lady at the halfway house snack/sandwich/hotdog shop also seemed somewhat overwhelmed and half of the items were not available.

Very pretty. This place deserves great greens. Which they were not How hard is to get great greens? Superintendent should be fired. Plus not allowing carts in fairways when the course is dry is ridiculous especially for how hilly it is It’s not Augusta for gods sake

I just played Blackstone for the first time and fell in love. It was a quintessential New England course. The views were amazing and the course was in terrific shape for this time of year. Great leaf management - fairways and greens were worth the trip from Boston!

Awful. Teed off at 7 they sent me off the back.blew through the back 9 and had to wait 20 minutes to tee off on hole 1. Carts kept shutting off and the lady at the clubhouse said that’s just how they do it. There’s no good management system here and absolute waste of my time. Taken me over an hour to play through 3 holes.
