In summary

Bavarian Hills Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained grounds, scenic views, and challenging layout featuring tree-lined holes and water hazards. The staff generally receives positive feedback for their friendliness, contributing to a pleasant small-town atmosphere. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play, poorly maintained tee boxes, and dissatisfaction with the pro shop and catering services. Despite these concerns, many golfers express a desire to return, appreciating the overall experience and value.

Great golf course with wonderful views! We went after a few days of heavy rain and the fairways were a little hairy and soggy, but what are you gonna do when you can't mow them. Will definitely return when the ground is dryer. Update 👋 Returned a couple months later when the ground was dry and the experience was great! The course is challenging, with tree-lined holes and water hazards. The greens are well-taken care of. Overall, I love this course set in the country! I'll play there whenever I can when I visit St. Marys.

Played 18 there today. Short course with a nice layout for some risky drives or the option to layup a few times. Bavarian "Hills" was an appropriate name with all of the elevation changes. I spent a ton of time in the fairway but didn't often have a flat comfortable setup. Biggest knock on the course was the tee boxes. They were awful, maybe the worst shape I've ever seen in my life. Rest of the course was nice.

This was our first time at this course. I planned a year end golf outing with my friends and this was our second course of the weekend tour. Pro staff cashier was miserable!! Not very pleasant welcoming for our first time. The grounds crew guys were super cool and very nice. We had tee times but waited to tee off on every hole. Took us over six hours to golf 18 holes! Nice course, grounds crew does a great job. Might want a starter and ranger to keep play moving along. The miserable pro shop cashier and unorganized tee times will not stop us from going back. Everyone deserves a second chance!!

Went here for the first time a few days ago. I must say I'm gonna start to go here more often. The course is very nice and in really great shape. It has a great variety of holes and just a fun course to play on with plenty of challenging holes ⛳ 🏌️‍♂️

Agency Christmas party fully catered. We arrived at Dark so I do not know the scenery. The parking lot lighting was non-existent. However, the parking lot was well cared for. No pot holes! Now if I would not have been told earlier it was a golf club/Country club I would have never guessed it. As you enter you r greeted by basement stairs and a hallway with bathrooms. Not what I would expect. Very cheap not updated since 1970 from the wood paneling on the walls. The bar had no system, or even proper/normal alcohol, taps did not work and we had to wait in line over a half an hour to get one drin…

Arrived at 5:40...out of dinner rolls and something else, can't remember what it was...coleslaw I think. Anyway, waitress comes to take order...only 4 pieces of fish left..we had 4 in our party so that worked out. Took an hour and 15 minutes to get our food...baked fish two of us ordered came burnt....and they ran out of baked potatoes! Fish was actually black on top, dry and crunchy...couldnt eat it. Waitress was great though!
