In summary

Wisp Resort is highly praised for its excellent customer service, with staff frequently going above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. The resort offers a variety of activities, particularly snowboarding and tubing, which are well-received by visitors. However, some guests find the accommodations outdated and in need of renovation, and there are occasional complaints about overcrowding and the quality of food offered during events.

We went to Wisp for the “Tunes & Brews BBQ” event, and overall it was a mixed experience. I’ll start with the positives—the staff and vendors were great. Everyone we talked to was friendly, helpful, and doing their best to keep things moving. The tunes were also really good and definitely added to the atmosphere. That part felt well done and made it enjoyable to hang out for a while. That said, the food was a huge letdown. For an event centered around BBQ, it just didn’t deliver. Honestly, the food was trash. Most of what we tried was bland, overcooked, or just not what you’d expect from somet…

Wisp is one of the best places to snowboard in the region. I’ve been coming here since I was younger and the mountain has a lot of variety compared to some other resorts nearby. The views around Deep Creek Lake are awesome and it’s a great place to spend a full weekend riding. Always a fun trip whether you’re hitting the slopes all day or just hanging out around the resort afterward.

I took a group of high schoolers snow tubing at Wisp; they had a blast until the "magic carpet "that transports riders to the top of the slope broke down, bringing the session to an end prematurely. Management was quick to make it right for all guests, though, which was very impressive. This was our 2nd time snow tubing here. We will definitely be back!

Everyone that works there has been great when it comes to customer service but there is one person that always seems to shine brighter than the rest. Her name is Misty and she works at the hotel. Like I said, the customer service is great at Wisp but Misty always seems to have the most genuine smile when she is taking care of us guests. To me that makes all the difference and it makes my stay feel very welcoming. Thank you Misty.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️ Amazing customer service at Wisp Resort! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make our family’s experience seamless and enjoyable. It’s clear they care about their guests, and that level of service truly sets Wisp apart. We felt valued the entire time and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Staff at check-in were superb. Very kind and helpful with information. Rooms are very outdated but still kinda cozy-ish? They could definitely use a remodel. Very odd lay out for the room and had a old Murphy bed. Obviously the HVAC was a little fun to adjust the perfect temperature. The room was clean and had a decent view. Our room also had some water damage (drop ceiling panels). Bed was comfortable but the thin blanket and flat pillows were kind of a drag. Obviously the location is nice, plenty of things to do and places to eat nearby. We were able to do the mountain coster, chairlift, and…

Our family of four adults recently stayed at this resort for 2 nights/3 days in a two-bedroom unit. Size-wise, we had no issues — there was enough space for all of us. The biggest problem was the condition of the room. It felt very outdated, almost like an old motel experience. Aside from the flat-screen TV, everything showed its age — worn furniture, disorganized power cords, and dirty carpets. Light even came through the door and ceiling areas. Noise was also a problem. We could clearly hear people in the hallway and even footsteps from the floor above. While there was a mini fridge, there w…

Love the resort but they ruined the bar with the new furniture and bar stools. It made less than half as much seating and no where to really eat if you aren't in the restaurant. It might look cool but it's absolutely Not functional especially when it's crowded.

The tubing was fun. Wish there was more variety though. There's one hill. The hotel should've been updated 40 years ago. The pool was freezing: my kid caught a cold. The nickeling and diming stinks too. 5 dollars for a bowl of cereal? The food was ugh. Go for the skiing, but make it a day trip.

My family and I went tubbing at the resort on New Year's. Tubbing was fun and the resort was nice but when we were checking in and filling out paperwork for tubbing I gave the staff my ID. My id was never returned to me and in the moment I forgot to ask for it back. I have tried to contact the resort many times over the past few weeks to find my ID but they just give the the run around and leave me on hold and then the call disconnects. They don't seem to care about there customers. It's been over 2 days since I wrote this review and no one from wisp has reached out to assist me.

Our wedding at Wisp Resort was absolutely unforgettable. We just got home and I wish I could give them 10 out of 5 stars. Not only was this an incredible experience, it was also historic — we were their first-ever ski wedding in 70 years, and they made it truly the best day of our lives. From the very first moment, Lisa and Larissa went above and beyond in every possible way. They made the entire process feel effortless, personal, and genuinely joyful. Every detail was handled with care, professionalism, and warmth. You can tell they truly love what they do — and it shows. What impressed us…

Overcrowded and overpriced. The resort is obviously designed for half the people that attend these days. Parking is terrible, lines are long and food is a barely passable meal. It does have tubing, but be prepared to wait and wait. I will say that the interactions with the staff have been very pleasant, but everything else feels like you are not getting great value.
