In summary

Winthrop University Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic beauty and suitability for practice, particularly for beginners and intermediate players. The course offers a relaxed atmosphere with a straightforward layout, making it a good option for working on various aspects of the game. However, several visitors have pointed out issues with maintenance, particularly regarding the condition of the greens, tee boxes, and fairways, which could benefit from improvements to enhance the overall playing experience.

It is more breathtaking as it looks on screen. Every disc golfer should plan to attend and strive to play the most famous course in disc golf.

For the price it's a good course to work on your game besides putting. Almost all the holes are straight with no hazards. Grass is cut once or twice a week but it's all the same length. Greens are hard and bumpy. Easy course to walk, just watch your step in the fairway on number 6. If they get the greens and tee boxes in better condition this could be a great course, but until then it's a 3/5 for me.

Fantastic little disc golf course. Great options to work on a lot of your types of throws. One long hole. The rest are moderate length.

I like the course, the layout is good for beginners, most holes are straight line between tee box and greens with few hazards. Tee boxes, bunkers and greens are in poor condition and need repair. Some tee boxes need the hole signs fixed and reinstalled, with new grass/seeding and markers. The fairways are full of weeds and not defined in any way, no fairway and rough, just grass between tee and green. The greens are small and that is ok, but there are many weeds and the edges on some greens are not defined or trimmed all around. The few bunkers need to be cut out again all around and sand adde…

The course is not well taken care off. The greens have large divots and are made of several kinds of grass. The whole locations do not change and the grass isn't cut effectively. However, if you just looking for a place to practice or work on hitting off of unfavorable lies this place is perfect. There is often only a few people or no one on the course.

Very disappointed, understood the course was not a lot but i wanted to work on new irons i had bought. no markings in the fairways for distance to the greens. 1st and 9th green burned out all other greens so bumpy was a waste of time to putt. wanted to do some walking but not for these conditions.

It would be nice to have the hole number and yardage at the tee boxes. It wouldn’t take much to get the Tee boxes and greens in descent condition. It’s overall condition is a lot better than in the past. Good place to practice.

By far the best 9-hole course inside of the Rock Hill city limits. Just kidding, but it makes me the dad of the year bringing my son out here to play in the Open Fields, Brier thickets, and wood lines a few times a week.

Practice 9 hole course. Not the place for putting or for a professional game but for $10 you can play all day. Lots of holes and divots, greens are horrible but it’s a practice course.

It's where you go to work on your game. Been playing here since I was in undergrad. It relatively quite. But view the course through a realistic lens and you'll love it too.

Great 9 holes of golf. It's a 3 to 5 par course. Easy and hard fairways.
