In summary

Tega Cay Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained greens, interesting and challenging course layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for golfers seeking variety with its three nine-hole options. Played here today, 4/5/2025. The tee boxes need a little love, but beyond that the course was in great shape. Greens are some of the best in the area. Super fun layout….its not long, but it’s a challenging course. Looking forward to playing it again soon!

My son and I had a great Sunday afternoon round, playing the Cove 9 holes. Nice facilities with several clubhouses/ snack bars, and outdoor seating. Super friendly staff. My only complaint were the rental clubs were $50 for my son. It was $32 to play 9 holes (with a cart), but $50 to rent clubs? Odd.

Played 2 of the courses on a Saturday afternoon. The course is gorgeous! The greens are fast. This course is a premium on placing your drive in just the right spot. The low grade is for the lack of amenities. There is no snack bar. There was no cart girl/guy. The snack “truck” closed by 2pm. Bring your own snacks and drinks! Hard to believe a course charging $80 didn’t have drinks or food.

We played the Cove, which is listed as good for beginners. I had to hit 3-wood off most tees as driver was not a real option if you can hit 220y or longer off the tee. Course conditions were 7/10 and other than the scary cart piloting on this very hilly course, I loved playing here. It’s definitely not beginner friendly. But it is really interesting and pretty short. We saw a lot of wildlife which was a treat. If you are capable of breaking 100 or nearly it’s a fine place to play. The side hill, up/down hill lies will challenge your average duffer. I had a nice laugh at the golfball graveyard…

Great course with 3 nines to choose from. The Cove course is considerably less challenging and great for beginners. The greens on all three 9’s are some of the best around. Always have wildlife around and it’s in such nice shape. You really have to try to find a better course in the area. Hole 5 on the Pines is a bear of a hole, #10, #17 and #18 on the Grand View are some of the most beautiful holes in the game of golf.

Tega Cay Golf Club is always a wonderful place to play. The pro shop staff is awesome and also very quick! If no one is ahead, they will let you just head out. The course itself is always very well maintained. Greens were in good condition and fairways were well maintained. This is a challenging course. Lots of slope and elevation provide a difficult test for a mid teens handicapper. If you’re looking for a course as an alternative to the normal around Fort Mill, check out Tega Cay! You won’t regret it!! I definitely recommend and will be back.

I just played “The Cove” for the first time and really enjoyed this shorter but challenging 9 holes. It has a 3rd Par 3 which makes it a few hundred yards shorter than an average 9. The course was well-kept and maintained even for fall season golf. The entire staff from the pro shop, to the starters and the cart barn team were courteous and friendly. I felt welcomed from the time I arrived until when I left. I look forward to returning and playing the other 18.

Under new management which is doing a lot but that means not good for golfers right now. Pro shop in disarray, snacks and drinks barely and in general was not very pleased with staff. We played 5/6/2026. 10& 18 are temporary greens. Use to be one of my favorite courses. Will need at least a year before a return is booked. We shall see.

For a course with such high prices, it comes with such low experiences. This course is very narrow which leaves little to no room for the average golfer. The surrounding areas to the fairway are long grass that is next to impossible to hit out of. The back 9 does not offer much either, as there is feces on almost all of the tee boxes. For a $120 experience, there is a lot better of golf clubs to go to

We really enjoyed this course. Greens are right but my husband did really well. Had a good time.

The course is in excellent shape. It has a lot of ups and downs and a lot of water. The course will challenge you and make you want to come back again to see if you can do better. The greens are in great shape as well. The course has three 9 hole options: 1) The Cove which is best for playing a practice round, 2) Carolina Pines, which is the front 9, & 3) the Grand View, which is the back 9. Overall a fun experience!

Decent track, not in good condition. Dry, patchy, infected greens & tee boxes. Played on Aug 31… the course is seeing a lot of action rn but others in the area are in better shape. Expected higher quality for $80 round
