Willowbrook Golf Course

Played here for the first time yesterday and it’s a great value course. I paid about $25 and can’t complain. Greens were very nice and I was honestly a little surprised how well they were for the price point. Pace was very good and wasn’t overcrowded. Obviously it’s not in perfect condition but for the price point it’s very good. I will definitely be back in the future

Really disappointed with our experience at this golf course. Our group consisted of 4 guys and 3 girls, and the guys were genuinely trying to teach the girls how to play. We completely understood concerns about pace of play and even offered to let the groups behind us pass. What made the experience unacceptable was the ranger’s attitude from the moment he approached us. Instead of calmly and professionally asking us to split up or explaining the issue, he immediately came in confrontational and disrespectful. The layout is unreal. There are some real gems on this course. The cart paths are like a Tibetan mountain trail....wear a jock strap!! The greens were fast and in good shape. The distinguishing holes made it easily worth the 40 bucks I paid on golfnow. In town from St. Louis, and honestly, I was happy I played here. Thanks! (Look out for that 9 foot gator that hangs out on 17.)

Beautiful course. I have played many courses in Lakeland, and Tampa this course hands down is in the best condition of any of them. From the greens to the fairways, not to mention the staff and the starter are extremely friendly. If you are lucky you might see a few gators like we did. Happy golfing.

First, l have no clue where the previous reviews came from. Did they play the same course as me? The first problem was making a tee time. They won’t let singles book on line or on GN. So l call. They were charging me $3 more because l didn’t book on line. So l repeated myself to the teenager on the other side - l can’t book on line as a single. Why am l being charged $3 more. All he would do is apologize. Fine, l just wanted to play. I get my cart and it’s OLD. No GPS or USB, and the brake wouldn’t engage. And the scorecard in the cart was already used (as pictured). It’s a great golf course ! The design is very good and it’s challenging. We had a great time. Oh and some pictures of the wildlife lol.

The GM Joe is such an awesome guy! Course looked good and played even better. Such a bargain for the price, will definitely be coming back! Thanks Joe for the incredible experience!

Came here thinking the renovations would help, it did not. Greens were okay, everything else was horrible, worst rough I have every played in, doesn’t look long but the ball disappears, hit most drives in the fairway, rolls into the rough and it’s gone forever, just not a fun experience.

The course was wet, but still played well. Alligators were around and didn't bug you, just don't go looking for lost golfballs. Starter was nice and very informative about the course. Great Value at this course, I would definitely recommend that you give it a try. Greens were small but in great condition considering the time of year (Winter).

Just returned From an Dream Golf trip and had one day I figured I would play locally went to Willowbrook and had a great round it's 60 years old and the GREENS are among the nicest I played in comparison to Courses twice the price. Jess the starter gave me some tips and told me to Watch out for the 15 foot 3 legged alligator"Sir" Didn't come across him Thankfully Fun Local course take the guys and enjoy pace was great I wouldn't hesitate playing again.

Just played 18. The course is in great shape. We even seen a few gators.
