In summary

Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club is highly praised for its challenging yet fair course layout, excellent greens, and overall immaculate condition. The staff receives commendations for their friendliness and professionalism, and the club offers strong amenities, including a well-maintained practice facility. However, some visitors express concerns about the slow pace of play and additional charges for range balls, which may detract from the overall experience for some golfers.

I really enjoyed my round at Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club first time playing it here on vacation. This course is challenging but fair, with a true links-style feel that’s different from most Florida tracks. The elevation changes, tricky fairways, and deep bunkers keep every shot interesting and reward smart course management. The greens were in great shape—fast and true—and the layout makes you think on every hole. You can’t just grip it and rip it here; placement matters. The views from the higher holes are a nice bonus, and the overall course conditioning was excellent. Staff were fr…

Second year in a row playing this gem and it won’t be the last. Its reputation precedes itself as being heavily bunkered with fast underlaying greens. This course kicks my butt and I love it. The staff is friendly, the range is great and the putting green reflects the actual course speediness and undulation. It’s well manicured, they always have cart girls out with well stocked carts and the proshop has all the necessities. Keep up the great work.

Incredible golf experience! Great layout, course in great condition. Staff incredible - from start to finish, pace of play and The Barn practice facility. Top Notch! premium golf venue - a must play. Only disappointment was not offering junior rates - understanding it was Saturday morning and “prime time”, but some times it’s the only time you can bring your kid.

1/3/27 - course was amazing condition, 3hr 45min round! Greens where fast and true, fairways was very green and lovely to hit from! Could not tell you about the ruff as i was dialed!

Other than the unrealistic pace of play, especially on a day with 30 mph wind gusts this is a really great place to play.

2 stars for a beautiful course with some big problems. I was excited to drive the 90 minutes over from Brevard County to play Southern Dunes this past Saturday. I was back and forth about playing at 10am for $165 or 2pm for $95, but I figured the course was nice enough that 4 hours before sunset would be enough time to get through or at least get close. I arrived to find a course that was in really great shape. Going between several of the holes involves driving through part of the surrounding neighborhood, which is a pretty cool feature. The fairways were in great shape and the greens were…

Almost 3 stars! The good first: Course is beautiful and in great shape. Lots of great bunkering, risk/reward shots, and greens were great. The people and food at the bar were also great! Cons: PACE OF PLAY. We waited on EVERY SHOT. Called the club house on the back nine and they said they would send someone out, they didn't. Didn't see anyone the entire day. 5 hour round. Also, had to pay for warm up bucket. Come on guys, paying $170 for a private course and they do not inclue a couple range balls. Lastly, they charged us for carts $20/person after they said it was included through the onlin…

Southern Dunes is such an amazing golf course. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful. The course is always in immaculate condition. Barbara and Josh are my favorites they are exceptionally good, oh and Jerry! (I hope that’s right) I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to play golf! Cute “cart girls” also😉

Great golf course. Very slow pace of play (5 1/2+ hours). We didn’t see a ranger all day. I’ll start with the positives: This is a nice course. A challenging but fair layout with 170+ bunkers, smooth, quick, undulating greens, and nicely manicured fairways. Nice practice area with a driving range, chipping green with sand traps, and a large putting green. Now for the negative: Very slow pace of play! It was a Saturday and we were told by the starter that there was a group of 40 out on the course ahead of us but everything was moving on schedule. We got off at our appointed tee time and played…

The fairways were amazing, and the greens were quick. The course overall looked absolutely amazing compared to February. There were no slow players, and the workers had respect to stop and move so you could play. My mom and I had great rounds and a lot of fun. The lunch was great. Definitely get the chips!

Older fellow in the pro shop was very nice. Golf course was in great shape although it all needed to be mowed, but that may be because they just overseeded with their annual ryegrass so they may be letting it grow a little bit. Overall, really good job of overseeding too. One thing irritated me. I stopped at the turn and bought a package with two peanut butter cups in it and a small sack of M and M peanuts. Cost was $6.53. I thought that price was taking advantage of the fact that I was a captured audience, but sometimes we come to expect that at a golf course. But to top it off, the bartend…

This is a really great place to play. In season and out of season prices are great especially for how well they maintain the fairways and greens. They have one of the best drainage systems I have ever seen. I literally played the day after a three day rain system came through and there were only two puddles and they were in the bunkers. The course is fun and challenging. If you are ever in the Orlando area you have to play here. You won't regret it.
