In summary

Wilkshire Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly staff, well-maintained fairways, and challenging layout, offering a pleasant experience for many golfers. However, some visitors have noted issues with course management, including slow pace of play and inconsistent maintenance of certain areas like tees and bunkers. Additionally, there are concerns about increased pricing and customer service, particularly during busy times or events.

Had such a fun time on my first visit! Loved being able to play solo on a weekday. The staff were super friendly, and the fairways and greens were in great shape. Can’t wait to come back!

I haven't played this course in over 30 years. I was not disappointed. Friendly staff, great course, and great pricing. It really brought back good memories. Greens were nice and fast and tough to hold your approach on. Fairways were excellent, not many weeds to be found.

Staff was good, course was okay. Tees need worked on no grass in places snd showing a lot of wear, fairways were okay, greens again okay but had some bad spots and appeared to me to be over watered with a lot of spike marks. The traps were hit and miss some playable some not, did not look like they had been taken care of but they look like they are working on a few. Overall okay for the amount of play the course gets but needs some work.

Great, old school golf course. Heavily tree lined, well manicured. The Par 5’s are not too long, but play very challenging. Staff members friendly. Worth the 30-40 minute. Nice, country setting. Greens were in very good shape and rolled true throughout the round. Also, a nice Brewery right alongside the course.

Great track, great shape and the front nine went great. At the turn they decided to dump three or four groups off the back nine. Waited every single hole 5 to 10 minutes. It was excruciating. Just a Money grab, you should not be letting people off the back when you have payong players about to make the turn. Well run establishments do not do this. PS we teed off at 8:08 on a Tuesday. Response, I understand courses have leagues. On your scorecard one of your course rules is to play the 18-hole course in under 4 hours, slow play will not be tolerated. Then you dump leagues on the back nine that…

I grew up playing this course and it was always beautiful and well maintained. The course condition has really gone down as the new owners seem to be investing more in the clubhouse. Seems to cover the cost of the clubhouse upgrades, they have heavily inflated the cost per round. $65 for 18 with a cart is not justifiable when every bunker has grass growing in it, every hole has big patches of bare ground, and I’ve never seen a course with more dandelions at that price point. I really hope things improve.

Course in very good shape, fun course to play, enjoyed our round. I did fix that ball mark.

Course needs attention, money invested and more care - especially on the greens & traps. Greens have longer type grass and don't cut short enough. Traps need sand. Grass planted in many areas, carts are old and loud. Great layout of holes. They need to invest in the course to upgrade many things like the nicer courses

Traveled with a league to play here for a year-end outing. The course was in average condition given the area's weather but poorly managed. Our group was split at the turn, a group of men permitted to tee off because the rest of the group was still waiting for food. Another group of women (not with our league) was sadly outside waiting for others to come with carts so they could head out. Only one individual was working in their snack area, which offered food AND alcohol (and kudos to her for a job well done under the stressful circumstances). At one point, there were probably 15 people in li…

Nice course, but we teed off behind a group of 32, playing an outing with Shotgun start, mind you seniors, God bless them for still playing, but the pace was soooo SLOW, waited on every shot, even after a par 3, there were still 3 groups on the hole, needless to say, NOT enjoyable, at the turn we asked for a simple Raincheck for the back 9 as we wanted to play again, but was told "there is no rain coming so wait or loose your money " as we said fine, keep our money! There was a young man waiting by clubhouse, he told us they were waiting 40 minutes just to get a cart. Bad course management, wa…

We golf at Wilkshire yesterday through a work function. We had two beginners on our team but we were playing best ball to keep pace. We had nobody waiting behind us on any hole but yet was hounded numerous times by the "man on the cart" to keep it moving. At least 4 different times he sat and watched us then kept telling us to hurry up. He even had the nerve to come into the clubhouse and tell us to get back on the course as we tried to get our drinks and hot dog at the turn. Not sure how any beginners can learn this game if they are going to be rushed through a round. The course itself was we…

The price of this course for 9 holes is INSANE $40, up 20 bucks from last year. I find this crazy and just down right dirty. New carts shouldn't mean exaggerated pricing increase. Haven't been there yet this year I'm still hesitant to go. I hope there is major changes for that price.
