What People Say

In summary

Wedgewood Country Club receives praise for its friendly and accommodating staff, as well as its challenging and well-maintained greens. However, many visitors express concerns about the overall course maintenance, citing issues with fairways, tee boxes, and signage. While the course offers an affordable golf experience, some golfers feel that the upkeep could be improved to enhance the playing experience.

Great round of golf. Fairly inexpensive on a weekday. Had a good time.

Went back with my son for nostalgic purposes. Wow I can't believe how far gone and let go of this golf course is. There's absolutely no fairway grass but the greens are all right. Always enjoyed it 10 to 15 years ago because it's a short course that you can score well as long as you play safe on a few holes. But it's difficult when you hit down the middle and you're hitting off dirt and rocks for your second shot.

While the course could be in some better shape; most notably the teeing grounds need to have fewer bear-patches, the fairways need to be cut shorter, better signage directing you to each tee box, and the carts tidier, overall for the $25 green fee, it is worth it. The greens are in decent shape, and the rough is pretty well maintained. If you’re looking for a cheaper, less formal golf experience, this is a good place to do it

Very friendly staff and new greens are great. 17th green challenging. Thank you!

Great day, not rushed. The grass isn't very well groomed (even after freshly cut). It's a nice long course and friendly staff. Not happy about the hidden recoup fee which was not made known or explained.

First let me say I will never complain about 18 holes and a cart for less than $20. This was a Hot Deal on Golf Now so any judgment goes out the window. The course is in rough shape from Tees to fairways to greens. Maintenance is not a priority here, so just be aware. There is plenty of sand to gobble up errant shots so course management is important. Tee boxes are high and fluffy, fairways are dry and spotted and the greens are bumpy and difficult to keep your line. This might be a good learning course for young / new players, but for seasond players there are better options available. The la…

Really gone downhill in the past 4 months or so. It doesn’t seem like they maintain the course in any aspect, from the tee boxes (which is essentially hitting driver from the rough), to the bunkers which are disheveled with grass growing in them, and the greens which are very long and slow (not to mention covered in weeds and bare spots). I used to think this place was a great value, but now it’s just a waste of time and money. If you’re looking for a cheap round, there’s too many other good options in the area to ever come back to Wedgewood.

This course is not safe for cars or kids. The owner fails to make sure that safety is a number one priority. The course is designed in such a way that it is dangerous to people walking past and cars, as balls are flying all across moving vehicles. The course appears to be be very blah and basic and no thought or consideration put into it for safety or design.I would not recommend.Save your money.

Played the course for the first time on 03-17-2019. I enjoyed it, friendly people, arrived early with no tee time and got right out. I've played at a worse course for a lot more money, I'll definitely be back, with friends.

Scheduled a tee time. Got there and the time slot they put me in is between to leagues. I couldn't jump a head at all. Poor time management. FYI the owners son Mark was helpful in trying to make sure I was having a good time. But I was already done.

Course is nice, but very poor maintenance. Fairways look like rough on some holes, greens are very slow. If they improve the course maintenance, this could be a really nice golf course to play.

I am from out-of-state and was visiting my brother and played the course and rented clubs, it was a great course, the staff was so friendly and went out of the way to help me. I felt good when I went to the first tee because of their inspiration, thank you!
