What People Say
In summary
Sandpiper Golf and Country Club is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, as well as its challenging course layout that offers a variety of holes. However, many visitors note that the course condition, particularly the fairways and greens, requires significant improvement. Additionally, there are multiple reports of negative interactions with management, which have affected the overall experience for some players.

Let me start by saying the members of the pro shop were fantastic and super accommodating. The course is in very bad shape, fairways are full of weeds and unkept as are most of the greens. Great people at the course, would be a really great place to play a round if they put some serious TLC into the playing surface.

Really great people that work there and the course felt super playable in the most part (some tricky holes and housing obstacles to navigate). I needed to rent clubs as a visitor from abroad for my round and they were available for $15-20 but the quality of the rentals were extremely poor which massively impacted the experience. For $60-70 for a round including rentals it's not bad value though, but improving that would make travelling players like myself extremely excited to come back and play during vacations

I've read a bunch of posts, and just needed to comment as I'm a snowbird and just returned about 3 weeks ago. I feel the greens are in good shape, and don't disagree that the fairways can use some work, I do live and back onto the course, I do see all the work and maintaining of the course daily and commend them on it, and see the improvements coming. Rome wasn't built in a day, and for the price, I feel this is a good course and enjoyable to play. The staff are also great.

The course was fun and decently maintained, but the owner is a piece of work. He clearly sits at the bar from open to close waiting for the opportunity to scream at someone. I understand that driving between the tee boxes is not the right way to respect the course and I quickly apologized and admitted my wrong doing. I would expect an owner and grown man to reciprocate a level of respect but when you are belligerent common sense doesn’t apply. I was screamed at, told to shut my mouth, and ran up on all while he was holding a liquor drink in his hand. I’m not upset that he confronted my buddy a…

Older cart guy( heavier set) way too/is aggressive as they will target who they want to complain on as im playing and following/playing with 1 groups...so im playing as they are but there's only 1 picture of me( only dark skinned player) and nobody else im playing with then continues to find me to try and chastise me about nothing he is showing me( picture show me just riding to my ball after a tee shot, no out of bounds marker or hazard markers at all..) then to continue to put his finger in my face as if im not a grown man...to say the least, not a course for EVERYBODY...etc. dude actually t…

PROS: Man in the Pro Shop was cool. Starter got me on earlier than my tee time (I was a single). Pace of play was good. CONS: Course needs work...bad ! Practice putting green needs work...bad. Website shows course in great shape, but check out my pictures.

No grass in the fairways, bunkers do have sand, but not in good condition. For $43 you get what you pay for. Condition is 2/10. Probably better courses in the area.

A very interesting course. Some holes were in great condition and some had some issues but overall looked good. It is a very compact course with lots of holes on top of each other and lots of hazards. As a novice golfer this gave me a bit of anxiety although I kept it in my lane most the time. If you can’t hit it straight consistently, you’ll find yourself in another fairway, someone’s front yard, or the road fairly often so this may not be the greatest starter course. Hole 16 reminds me of a mini golf course with the amount of hazards and placement. If you’re looking for a challenge and uniqu…

Reply to owner: I wasn’t aware the review needed to be added same day as an incident…I like many others have a busy schedule when I have free time I write reviews for places I’ve visited within the last month so my review still stands and helps prove my review’s validation of belittling and intimidation… The course itself is playable, but the owner turns what could be an enjoyable round into an exercise in intimidation. Instead of handling issues like an adult, he resorts to yelling, belittling, and theatrics that feel more suited to a barroom than a golf course. Minor mistakes are met with d…

The owner of this course Dave sits at the bar all day drinking full glasses of vodka. God forbid you step off the cart path. Approached us on cart stating he had multiple complaints about us after a singular hole and began to cuss me and 3 fellow customers out. Need new leadership… after followed us to parking lot and caused a scene very embarrassing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

Fun course, good variety of challenges. Then COLD beverage and lunch at the club house. Come out and play Sandpiper. No photos of our playing, but trust me. Fun!
