In summary

Wedgefield Golf Club is appreciated for its generally good course conditions, friendly staff, and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice despite its location outside the main Orlando area. The course layout is considered fun and somewhat challenging, with well-maintained greens and fairways, although some areas might need improvement. Common criticisms include the lack of amenities such as rakes in bunkers, ball washers, and cart service, as well as occasional slow pace of play and issues with tee time management.

We played in February shortly after a hard freeze, and that took a toll on the landscaping and plants, but the course was in good condition and still had some green grass in the fairways. Check-in was quick (prepaid for the round), and paid for a scoop-your-own bucket of balls. There was a nice practice green that was close to the greens on the course. The range was nothing spectacular, and the balls were a collection of misfits, but did offer a full-driver distance. We were able to tee off a few minutes early. Tee boxes, fairways and rough were mostly in good shape. There were some areas wher…

This course is on the easier side, and while the layout wasn’t anything fancy, it was a lot of fun. Conditions were really good all around. Good course for the money for sure. All the guys in the pro shop were very nice.

Wedgefield is a golf course a bit outside the city, but easy enough to get to. They have a good amount of parking out front with access to the clubhouse and restaurant from the front. Prices here were pretty good through Golf Now, and it came with a cart. They have a small driving range all the way in the left, nothing too fancy. Fairways were in good condition and greens weren't bad either. The staff here in the restaurant were absolutely amazing, and a lot of people here play as part of the club, who are also very friendly too. Overall a solid experience with a well maintained course.

Course was in great shape. Great lay out, smaller greens but were they smooth. John Deere was laying out equipment around the course for a tournament so that was pretty cool to see. I'll be playing everytime, we come down to see my girls parents for sure.

Lovely course with friendly staff. I'm from out of town but this is the course I'll be coming back to. From the call to book the tee time to the end of the only 9 holes I played, it was a very relaxed feeling with no one on our butts. Course is fairly challenging but with strategic play, not hard. Greens and Fairways were well maintained although the green is slower than it looks.

For an area where most courses are $100-$200 during season, $55 is good value for Wedgefield. Tee boxes and greens are in good shape, and pace was great (played in under four hours as a foursome). Only downside is how tight the course is. If you don’t hit between 70-80% of fairways, or don’t like hitting irons from the tee, the course will eat you up. Some of the thinnest fairways I’ve seen, tree trouble just a couple yards off the fairway, and spraying it almost guarantees you’ll be OB. Overall it was good, but very challenging.

My group showed up 2 minutes late to our tee box. We called on our way to let them know, but still made it to the first tee by 9:59 with a 9:57 tee time. There was a big group who had the next 4 tee times jump in front of us even with an 11 minute window in between tee times. The group was teeing off at 9:54 when we were paying at the clubhouse. We shouldn’t have been 2 minutes late, but that shouldn’t mean we now have to wait an hour on the first tee. Bob was in the clubhouse and was no help, he even laughed at me when I brought this to his attention. The course is overpriced and just another…

Always fun playing Wedgefield golf club. Course is in good shape, just punched the greens last week but still rolled fairly good. There are some spots in the fairways that are bad but not horrible, just move your ball over to a better spot. Good, old style golf course.

First time playing this course in over 10 years and was pleasantly surprised. Though not in excellent condition you can tell the course has had some work. The greens were in great condition, the fairways and tees had been seeded and looked pretty good. There were no rakes anywhere for the sand bunkers for some reason. The clubhouse was very small and didn’t have a lot of inventory. No cart girl for drinks either. We had to wait 1/2 hour to get food because the restaurant/bar didn’t open until 4 pm. Most golf course restaurants are open at least at lunch time. The food was ok. The onions rings…

Just got done with 18 here and must say the greens, fairways, and tee boxes were in really good shape. A really fun course to play a lot of dog legs and a few narrow fairways make it fun. The par 3s have some hazards that really make you pay if yoy dont hit the green. Def worth the trip out. Downside, no cart service no bar. They sell beer in the clubhouse in a fridge. Bring a cooler with ice 🧊

It's ok golf. A bit of a forgettable layout. But conditions are decent. For some reason there are no rakes in the bunkers. There are no ball washers, no trash cans, no distance markers. They need to add these things.

I love this golf course even if it isn’t in the best shape like some other courses I have played. The people who run it are some of the best around including the people in the restaurant. We have an annual tournament that we play for VFW 10139 in Chuluota and we always have a great time even if we don’t finish as well as we hoped. But the course is in good shape and they are really putting some time, money, and effort into it. Just in the last few weeks some of the cart paths have been redone and or fixed. Greens were in decent shape and seemed to putt pretty true. Restaurant is definitely one…
