In summary
Thorne Hills Golf Course is appreciated by some for its friendly staff and reasonable pricing, offering a course with a few interesting and challenging holes. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with the greens, tee boxes, and cart paths, as well as the overall condition of the facilities. Additionally, some golfers have experienced organizational issues and slow play, which detracts from the overall experience.

Someone buy this course that cares. Has the potential to be a great course. Cart broke down after 1st hole, green looked liked it had been sitting in the Arizona desert without a drop of water. Would only rate a half star if allowed. Can't believe I put 20 in the box for that.

The absolute worst golf course I've ever played. The greens were cracked dry earth, dead or no grass. Tee boxes were like a cow pasture. All in all the course has be let go to ruin. The owners should be ashamed and sell. They don't even check you in, just drop your cash in the box, grab a cart and go. Never been so glad for the round to end. Never going back.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The greens are terrible and not maintained at all. Every green either had a ton of cracks or looked like hard dirt. I was driving on the kart path and there was an unexpected drop in the kart path around the tee box of 18. The kart stopped randomly and we had to use the other kart to push the kart back to the clubhouse. We pushed it up by the kart return and I just pulled it into a spot and we left the course. I’m not expecting to go back to this course again unless they can fix their greens, kart paths, and karts. Most of the karts have no power behind them an…

Look imma be honest the staff is super nice and friendly it wasn't terrible fairways and the majority of tee boxes where ok, the greens on the other hand and the sense of direction you need to find the greens is way way bad. Most the greens where dirt with o fringe and some of the parts 3 holes feel forcefully placed. Good course for practice on irons and driving that's really it.

Played there today. The course is an interesting one. Flat and is a.links design . Cost was $14. That was great! The front nine was really rough. The back nine much better. A number of the greens had bare soil showing. The greens were fast. This is fall golf so there were a lot of leaves. I lost three balls due to leaves. A number of dead pine trees were laying particularly in the cart paths. Kinda rough kept course. Pay for what you get.

I played this course several times when I was younger with my dad and always enjoyed it. Now 20 years later the course is still in great condition and has some great challenging holes. The island green is probably my favorite...also the price is very reasonable for the quality of the course. Only downside is its a bit of a drive to get to, but worth it.

One of the worst courses I’ve ever played, set tee time for 2 at 10:40 A.M, while checking in staff let a group of 3 go in front of us. Did not get to tee off until 30 minutes after set tee time. What is the point of tee time if whoever can show up whenever and go out. Leaves everywhere, not maintained at all, grass not cut, greens aren’t even greens they are horrible mostly covered in dirt, dirt streaks and patches.bunkers have been abandoned. There is literally human feces and feces covered underwear on hole 2 in the pine tree on the right side of the fairway. paid for 18 but had to get refu…

I would suggest selling the course to someone who knows how to take care of Golf Courses properly. What a shame because this place could be a great golf course. No fairways and greens, well, they’re not really greens.

Worse course I ever played. Could not tell fairways from Rough. Only a few greens were good. Most were burned out, cracks in them. Liked course layout, but on back 9 hard to find tee's

The only positive things I can say about this place is that staff are really friendly, and they're trying... The course however is in REALLY rough shape, even the ponds have seen better days. The cups appear to be cut with a dull butter knife. Nothing is cut to the proper legnth, in some places, grass on tees is almost as tall as a tee'd up ball. Trash cans are full everywhere. The greens are in REALLLLY rough shape. They're getting better slowly but they're still bad. Bunkers appear just completely neglected. They are really overgrown, not raked, full of rocks etc.. Lots of hay all over mult…

Last visit they were very badly understaffed. One lady checking in golfers, getting drinks and making food. All the while the golf cart attendant just watched her bust her butt as he sat at the bar. Greens are littered with debris so good luck putting. Thank God it was cheap. You get what you pay for

We signed up for their weekly scrambles tournament a week in advanced but they decided not to tell me their is no scrambles and they wouldn't even let us go out because their was a outing, even though no one was there!! I've been going to Thorne hills for 21 years, this will be the last time I ever spend my money there!! Way to alienate a long term customer!!!
